Here is an idea: Bring Match Game back. Have someone like Alfonso Ribeiro or Richard Karn host it. Drew Carey would be a good host, but doing the Price is Right and Match Game together might be too much for him.
@GCRams2 Yeah, but FremantleMedia tried to bring it back on FOX in 2004 & then again on TBS in 2008--both of which were scrapped. If CBS decides to reduce Let's Make A Deal to 30 minutes (like the classic version), that would leave the other 30 minutes for Match Game. Now that would really boost daytime game show popularity!
Betty White was a star featured on Match Game. Also on the Gameshow Marathon they had her as a Star. Other than her, who else would you get for a star cast? And the host? Gene, Brett, Charles are dead. Kind of hard to replace.
@InuyashaNaraku It's true that he's still around, but he's pretty much retired now. I watched one of those interviews under the "TVLEGENDS" directory on YouTube, and he's bigger than when he tried making a comeback to Family Feud in 1994.

Why? Gene, Brett, and Charles are dead. Any celebrities on a reveal will not understand the double entendre, it will end up be a failure like MG '98. Just watch the classic episodes in awe on GSN, it was lightning in a bottle.
I agree with you that the MG 7x series will never come back...everything after that was a failure (MG/HS, MG 90, MG 98), but I believe there are enough celebs that could cover the double entendres. Remember the MG episode of Gameshow Marathon!

TBS supposedly has a version in store that has been planned for the past two years and I believe that a pilot was taped but it hasn't aired yet.
