  • Memories of Pepperdine come back into this fine playing: one of the discovered neglects...

  • 1 Schumann disliked it :)

  • Poet Francisco Gonzalez Bocanegra wrote the National Anthem of mexico, he wrote it as a poem. Jaime Nuno composed the music for it. Sometimes is called, "Mexicans, at the cry of war". Please get your facts correct, thank you.

  • i agree that henri herz composed a mexico national anthem, but it wasnt accepted, then another composer came and composed the actual anthem... im saying this because i your description you are saying that he composed the actual one

  • Well played. Why not take life lightly, for a while. In stead of torturing your poor head with Beethoven and Schumann all week. Herz is a fine composer, sadly underrated. A medal is ready for you for defending him.

  • Stephen Foster's "O Susanna"? Are you sure?

  • Positive! It shines through in the introduction and you can hear it clearly at 1:49.

  • @Astardis What might be Hertz's motive in introducing Foster's theme here?

  • @Astardis Very obvious, agreed.

  • grat!!! but its veracruz !!! togheter !... thx to shere with us!!
