The Sabbaths, "plural" were kept by the lunar calander, agreed. The lunar sabbaths were the ceremonial sabbaths e.g., the feast of unleavend bread, passover, the feast of first fruits; these could fall on any day of the week as stated in Lev. 23:37. However, the 7th Day sabbath was institued as a creation memorial to be kept on every 7th day of the week.

Almost every serious scholar that studies the original Greek in the Ignatius letter has come to the understanding that the translation is not a defense for Sunday as it is too amibigous to delcare with any certain degree of accuracy for puporting a sunday defense. In fact, there is even debate over its authenticity. That said, most scholars believe that the 19th century translations which are prodomentaly used for the Sunday defense were incorrect. The Sabbaths, "plural" were kept by the lunar calander, agreed. The lunar sabbaths were the ceremonial sabbaths e.g., the feast of unleavend bread, passover, the feast of first fruits; these could fall on any day of the week as stated in Lev. 23:37. However, the 7th Day sabbath was institued as a creation memorial to be kept on every 7th day of the week.

So, the Sabbath was most certainly held according to a lunar calendar. Your comment above stated that you agree that the sabbaths were kept according to a lunar calendar but not the Sabbath. Did the Jews have two calendars? Not until the civic solar calendar gained sway.

Actually, the church figure pretty well between those chapters in Rev. Including Rev 14 when they are taken out of the world by Jesus just in the manner He said He would do it in Matthew. @Serge1965 your own scripture refutes your theory ::: why would HE tell us we are to close ourselves off and hide ourselves if we are not going to be here when it happens ??? that would make HIM telling us to close ourselves off from HIS punishment when we are not here... Proverbs 10 : 30 states the righteous shall never be removed --- so that we who follow HIM will inherit the new city of Revelation...
