You seriously need to do some research on the welfare system before posting up your misinformed comments. First of all, "illegals" cannot get any type of benefits from the state. These services are for U.S. Citizens only. Second, welfare benefits are for the children not for the undocumented parents. Third, The requirements and qualifications to receive welfare benefits have changed and a family can no longer receive extra money or FS for an additional child.

@DeMoNsLaYeR818 and speaking of elementaries. heres another 1 for u. overpacked schools, why? well when we have people from tj comming thru and taking their kids here that happens. once again i live in sd, my friend 4rm middle school actually did this. now this means more free lunches, more needed books, and teachers, to compensate 4 these kids, as their parents lie about where they live. and thats right? so when i have children they are going 2 be getting the same education as an illegal?

The Governor has cut funding of education to dangerous levels. That is why you're seeing overpopulated schools. It's not the "illegals'" fault. It's a fiscal issue. As long as our idiot Governor doesn't increase funding to education, it will all get worse. Getting "illegals" out of schools will NOT solve the problem.

@DeMoNsLaYeR818 so having 45 students in a clas built 4 30students isn't going 2 have an effect?so if 1/4 of each student was illegal,than we wouldnt have overcrowding:less books,less desks,less teachers,more time 2 interact with a student individually,helping those who trully need it.once again, the fed.govnt.took control of the public schools system in the 70' (4 california atleast,not 2 sure about othr states)higher education is a diff.story.

@DeMoNsLaYeR818 ok, let me reiterate the fact that, illegals come over here at 9months pregnant and have their anchor baby. the child is a than a citizen, the parents think they are entitled 2 w/e they want, and they dont even pay 4 the birth. now if thats not fucking things up here idk what is. so, more kids, with illegal parents who dont seem 2 raise them right,medical 4 ppl who dont deserve it, we pay 4 the birth, and our skools suffer.

People will take your jobs if you're no longer qualified or lack the qualifications that those who want the job have. Why do you think the U.S is importing so many high-tech, educated workers from foreign countries? Because the U.S can't even produce enough ffs. I've been there. UCLA laboratories are 90% Asian and 9% Indian. The rest is a combination of White and Latinos, maybe one black in there.

his plan would fail,It failed for pete Wilson in 1994 and it failed for Grey Davis in 99. He says no one has the guts.politicians have, and failed. Prop 187 is a perfect example. california is mostly latino based. If his plan succeeds, wouldnt be for long, people will rally just like in 94. Poizner wont provide much. Poizner has the courage to explain to Californians that we can't subsidize the impoverished from other countries. Our budget simply cant sustain the billions spent on social services etc. We need to get the democratic party out of the drivers seat and tell the teachers unions who are failing our youth that we dont need them to use our tax money to run ads against the will of the taxpayer while the State prepares for bankruptcy.

@SGTHartsock2 this ad reeks of pete wilson ... which brought the case of prop 187 to federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals had it turned down but sucks, in 99, idiot elected Democratic Governor Gray Davis had the case brought before mediation, and then dropped the appeals process before the courts, effectively killing the law of not allowing immigrants to have there benefits revoked from them. Same will happen to poizner. His plan will fail. Plus his ad Sucks, straight out of sesame street.

Actually, the last thing most Californians need is more illegals underbidding them for jobs. US Hispanics and blacks need jobs and they are competing with illegals for work - this isn't a racism issue; this is a jobs for Americans first issue. I do not know if he can succeed, but I do know that the first rule of holes is if you are in one, STOP DIGGING! If you need more jobs for Californians, STOP IMPORTING 125,000 Foreign workers a month!
