Its a shame the big man never got 100 Celtic goals, Im sure he was in the 90s when he left. The only reason he never is because he was so valuable to Celtic he got played at centre half and centre midfield frequently.
i think its a bit unfair to compare a player who was great in many positions to players who have specific traits (winger and so on). noone i know for celtic held the ball up like sutton did and if they did then they probably couldnt fill almost every position into the bargain...i think in terms of presence and finishing ability he is better than naka and mcgeady...ppl might argue over that though

One of my favourite Celtic players. He was amazing and his desire to win was immense and not many can rival that. Could play anywhere and never complained. Was a great strike partner for Larsson. Hartson was a better striker but Sutton was a better player, he had everything you want in a player, great tackler, great header of the ball, good shot and could get stuck right in.
He could play almost anywhere-he played up front,midfield and centre half in his time at Celtic.
My favorite goal of his was when he scored the winner against the huns in the last minute of the game. That made it a green and white wash that season! Beat them in every game!

Been watching Celtic for 30 years and Larsson + Sutton best partnership I have seen in the hoops. Sutton had great drive and determination and was a perfect partner for a prolific goalscorer like Larsson. Was sad to see him leave and he was unlucky with injuries at the end of his time at Celtic. Loved the passion he played with.

i loved Chris Sutton,he used to the boot right into them,scored some very important goals and set up even more.
Didn´t like the way things ended at Celtic he never really got a chance to say goodbye.
One other thing my aunt Linda really fancied him,she´s still a bit upset.

One of my favourite Celtic players. He was amazing and his desire to win was immense and not many can rival that. Could play anywhere and never complained. Was a great strike partner for Larsson. Hartson was a better striker but Sutton was a better player, he had everything you want in a player, great tackler, great header of the ball, good shot and could get stuck right in.

O'Neill's best signing in my opinion.
He could play almost anywhere-he played up front,midfield and centre half in his time at Celtic.
My favorite goal of his was when he scored the winner against the huns in the last minute of the game. That made it a green and white wash that season! Beat them in every game!

Been watching Celtic for 30 years and Larsson + Sutton best partnership I have seen in the hoops. Sutton had great drive and determination and was a perfect partner for a prolific goalscorer like Larsson. Was sad to see him leave and he was unlucky with injuries at the end of his time at Celtic. Loved the passion he played with.

One of the best strikers Celtic has had. I was at the game against Rangers when he scored in the last minute to win the game. His legs were going as he collected the ball then lobbed it over Klos. Will always be remembered as a true Celt who gave his all.
