There's no online play with other people, BUT the game automatically downloads other player's creatures AND planets and sends them to your computer directly. You might find yourself on someone else's planet fighting their main race in an epic duel to the death! :P

But if you illegaly download it, you can't sign into your account and it wont validate you for all this. My friend did it, and he only gets maxis-made creatures. Very boring once they start to repeat themselves.. there's only so many..
