  • I was honestly sad to hear of the closing of Janesville Assembly. We had two Suburbans from there and they were both excellent trucks. Lots of GM history there too, starting with Sampson tractors in 1919.

I hope they can reopen the plant sometime soon.

  • I was at paint dept my signature is somewhere at the upper left corner we also take some pictures of that day holding the cloth with the truck in plain metal and then when it come out of the oven after paint just before it goes down the finish assembly line on december 21st 2008 and 48 hours later at 12:00pm december 23rd 2008 it roll out the line and it was the shut down of the plant

  • my dad attached the front doors on that

  • man that's pretty nice. I wish I had the opportunity to even had a chance to own this vehicle. It might still be available from the Arlington assembly but this was the last of an era from one of GM's biggest plant.

  • Heard a Dirty Rumor earlier this year that J-Ville is on standby in case GM keeps rallying like they have.

  • Janesville made some good SUV's. Had a 95 built there... Where are they being made now?? Arlington and Mexico?

  • Kinda makes me sad that our plant that closed down. I'm in the Air Force, serving in Colorado, and my squadron uses a couple of older Tahoes from the Janesville plant. I have some hometown pride driving those vehicles. Go Janesville!

  • hope whoever has it takes good care of it. very nice truck

  • Not only that, but it's a collector's vehicle. I'm sure you can get a special license plate for collector's vehicles.
