But if I am fighting a Warrior or a class that doesn't have powerful DoTs, then I will use the trick.
I do when I'm performing this trick. I'm not dumb. Never have your pet out if you're doing this trick, they'll see the pet and they'll kill you. I come from personal experience.
When you feign death, your enemy loses you as a target and the next person to hit him becomes his new target. Most times it's used in conjuction with snake trap as it makes it hard for them to regain you as a target and buys you some time. It's also used as a spell interrupt if a caster is casting a spell with a cast time that require LOS.
Correct, but I was talking about the video where if you try to do the Feign Death trick, the DoTs will finish off the hp while the warlock runs. So you can use feign death on anyone, but I was talking about the feign death trick in the vid. Thanks for bringing that up
The funniest part is if it works with a huge mob of people such as 6+. Only loophole is the more people attacking you, the higher the odds are of one of them able to throw DoTs on you. Don't worry about Warlocks if you're BM, just hit the Beastial Wrath ability, and DPS the hell out of them, no feign death with a lock on you.
sry dude, most pvpers know this trick.... if i don't see the +honor go up i pump so more dps into them until i do. It's that simple, FD for me on my hunter is a method for them to untarget me, stops big casts etc. This is pre BC noob stuff :(
Also, as 6Bad6Idea6 mentioned, I forgot to add into the video, if you have your pet out, and feign death in pvp combat, the odds of the trick working is 3% even if you did all of the steps. Vital part of the trick. Can't believe I left that out. o_O
if you have your pet out and you feign death your pet will still run around attacking things, so this "stunt" doesnt really work out if you fighting someone who isnt retarded.
I'm well aware of that. That is why before I get to the Horde, I dismiss my pet, as I am tired of it being killed at the very last second so the non-killing pet stat thing doesnt effect the pet.
P.S to people, here is one more trick for a hunter of survival spec. One: do this trick I told you to do on the video. Two: wait for the person to go away. Three: Make sure you are in range, and shoot 'em with a wyvern sting. (I think thats what surv hunts get, never rolled one). They will fall asleep, and then finish them off.
lol it worked for me in AB when i was capturing the mine i had like 5 ppl on me and i fiegned at the last moment and they believed it and they left a 42 lock to defend the lock sat down to drink when the ppl left and i attacked him and killed him then i captured the mine and the horde came running back like WTF happened to our F*****G MINE?
See, like I said, you do what I say, then you have a high probability that it will work. Can't say it will for sure work, but I can promise you that you do have a high probability.
Fd is an interrupt, aspect o cheetah is not for pvp, IDC when this was made that's just how it's always been
