  • I'd like to "verbally chainsaw" lots of people. Great video!

  • F*** this..it's mind-reading live on youtube :O

  • I find this very interesting. The way of abstract thought you mentioned is what my art teacher calls "right brain thinking" where you do not actually think in words but instead you think... Well differently. I am an INTJ and can relate to almost every thing you said in the video. Good job and good luck!

  • severed=served

    puckin puck puck puck

  • 5:00 fitting in, or standing out...

I would say neither; if fitting in severed a logical purpose, than sure; but if I had to stand out, I'd do it in a manner of "why am I here? don't gawk at me, why aren't you here? what's wrong with you! ... dumb ass."

Always the black and white question, "fit in or stand out?"; we're INTJs, we manipulate/advise the throne, and if we can do so without anyone even knowing our name, then all the better. Fit in? hell, were we even there???

  • Wow, your whole thought process bears a striking resemblance to my own. I didn't know what it meant to be an INTJ until I found MBTI a year ago. I have to say you are very efficient with word usage : D

It's true about mimicking behavior- there are a lot of people who want to be our personality type but don't fully understand with an INTJ really is. I'll say you can't really "act" like one- you just are. People with INTJ traits will likely see most other types very transparently, IMO.

  • Hey what's your name on Perc?

  • I love INTJs

     -fellow ENFP

  • You are also right that when INTJ's think in such an abstract way that its hard to actually delineate it in words. I think about the the abstract future a lot.

  • Im an INJ. but 50/50 F and T. I do share a similar personality with most intj's is that i myself do think a lot of possible ways how the future will be. I rarely do think about people in general since its just a waste of time trying to think about them.

  • Everything sounds just as you explained, as a fellow INTJ.

I have yet to visit personality cafe, but I will be sure to check up on it soon.

  • Related videos : String theory, masterminds, misanthropy, and chess. (Goes with chess)..What? I already know the string theories and the membrane theory.

  • Sounds exactly right to me, as an INTJ :)

  • "I think a lot" - bullseye

  • @AryeHvsv Also, totally agree with what you said about walking/running and just thinking, I do the same thing and those thoughts are really not personal they're just.. thoughts, of everything.

I enjoyed the video, it was nice seeing how similar INTJ's are. (and how awesome we are :) )

  • According to the brigg meyers test I'm an INTJ. Not sure about this, I've done a lot of reading on the subject, but most INTJ's hate facile people, and to reach an understanding it means we must search out a huge vocabulary to explain the slightest ounce of our understanding. But honestly, i don't care if someone does or does not understand, I first need to reach full understanding before coming to a conclusion on the matter. Anyone else on the same page?

  • The repetition insanity is why I hated the industrialized school system :/

  • fellow INTJ

    90% introverted

  • rants, realizations, and revelations are the story of my life in a nutshell..... i'm an ENFP btw and i love INTJs

  • I'm a INTJ bartender. My guests get very fast and efficient service, but I hate talking to them. I have more regulars than the "talkers", because I have "perfected" the drink recipes. I tend to attract people that like to be left alone. Win win.

  • @isolabella88

Ha that's fun(ny) - an INTJ bartender. I bet you've got some pretty unique special drinks too. I'm no bartender, but we spend a lot of time mixing things here at school too so I know what you mean about "perfecting."

  • @isolabella88 haha Im also a bartender but at the place that i work is a very high class place, therefore i dont have to talk to them moch which is a win win. and the very few regulars i have are just like me or very smart people.....

  • yee nice walking around close nothing expensive, winners is the best

  • Haha, hilarious about the repeating yourself. I'm also an INtJ. I hate it! Detest it! And was just telling my enfj roomie yesterday not to worry about my welfare when she heard me ruthlessly reprimand my cell phone company on the phone after I repeated my email address to them 5 consecutive times.

Anyway, cataloging recipes, what a great idea! Thanks:)

  • Good video. I am an infj and I very much admire how inftjs can take emotion out of their decision making. It's something i've been working on.

  • @mrgarrison1986

Ha I'll be quite blunt and say that I'm usually at least mildly skeptical of comments as nice as that, but thank you all the same - I'm glad you enjoyed the video :) I know a handful of ENTP's - but, only a few of them are healthy enough in mind to represent the general patterns of behavior of your type. Assuming that "sample," I'd say ENTP's are pretty intriguing as hell as well - great ideas and more surprisingly better implementation of them - when narrowed down.

  • What i noticed most INTJ have high forheads with eyes that are sunk into the face.

A theory of mine is that INTJ's are more likely to have schizoid personality disorder than any other personality type. Fondness for nature and books, and constantly being sequesterd in ones own thoughts and fantasy world.Me being an INTJ myself, these are just my opinions. This is what i noticed about myself and other INTJs on youtube.

  • Yes I also relate to alo

  • @jbradshaw7playist

Glad you enjoyed it! We are rare, so the fellowship is much appreciated.

  • Awesome vid. I'm also INTJ and am pretty much exactly how you describe yourself. I love what you said about INTJs actually having feelings because this is absolutely true - I have very strong emotions personally, I just don't use them for decision making.

  • @Schischmischrox

Thanks. I'm glad to hear you agree about the emotions condition. It's a "strange" type of emotion and definitely difficult to explain to those who don't experience it, leading many of us to believe that it is not emotion at all. But, as you say, they are actually quite strong.

  • Thanks for sharing I'm an INTJ and can definitely relate to thinking constantly to the extent that sometimes I find it difficult to sleep due to racing thoughts.

  • @kh884488

Do you too? Yes, it's frequent and almost more intense (for me at least?) at night. It's interesting that you describe them as "racing," as they do seem to flit from one subject to another along some bizarre common plane that ultimately leads to a universal realization. Cool stuff.

  • It's interesting listening to your video as an INFP. Especially the part about not making any descions based on emotions. Since I seem to make all my choices based on what I'm feeling and only that. ;)

  • @bbiz20

Glad you enjoyed it. It actually would be sort of refreshing to just do something because I feel a certain way about it. Very often such feelings don't really surface in tough decisions, however. Maybe, though, if I'm weighing the prospects of one more scoop of ice cream? Sometimes not even that haha :)

  • 'Emotions' are different from 'Feeling'. Myers referred to Van der Hoop's Conscious Orientation to describe the introverted and extroverted functions.

  • @BTinHD

Yes rhetorically, even, in temporality, origin, and utilization among other differences. Not to state the obvious, but it should be a lot easier listening to someone to pick apart their rhetoric than it is to do so yourself while speaking. Not sure your comment is even doing that, however.

  • You are silly...you cannot keep your composure half as easily as other types. Oh, and I am an INTP watching INTJ's out of pure curiosity...I need to get around to making a video.

  • @Zionoxis

Actually, I'm fairly composed in 99% of everyday dealings. It's the rare rant here or there that proves otherwise occasions, and these are rarely shared because many people don't share enough congruences with INTJ thinking to understand them for what they are. The camera - and you, and INTP - are better listeners hence you are more likely to hear ostensible "discomposure."

  • @CO767224 Actually, my post comes from the combination of spending a great deal of time on INTJf along with an INTJ father. They generally are composed, but there are certain buttons which easily set them off. No matter how good of a mood they are in, hitting one of those buttons will have them irrational, irritable, and infuriated in seconds. This is from personal experience. ;)

  • That's definitely true, I know INTJs that could go on for hours about physics =P And yeah, that's how I found your vid, through your comment on mine :) Take care, nice to meet you! :)

  • Yayyy INTJ video! In rare form, too, since your type (while able to think at almost a constant rate) rarely speaks for longer than a couple sentences consecutively in my experience =P Bravo! Also, you must post your culinary findings...although I'm vegan, I do find myself intrigued!

  • @bammysammy86

Haha thank you. Actually, we usually enjoy talking if it's about something we find interesting! I usually wouldn't do this sort of thing but I figured what the hey, why not be a pioneer of sorts :) I watched your video (actually sort of awhile ago I think?) and really enjoyed it - thanks for posting!

As for cooking, I'm always devising and testing new recipes - if I ever come up with a good vegan one, I'll definitely post it.
