Suppression in CHina has not only been experienced by the Tibetans, but also by disabled people. THerefore the tibetans are fighting for the rights of people in wheel chairs, just like the torch bearer. Also by using the fact that the person is in a wheelchair to justify your argument, you are making yourself feel superior to the person in the wheel chair.

The PRC is indiscriminate when it comes to dishing out discipline for breaking order. If you want to change Tibet, first you must change China. America gained its independence not through the action of one colony, but of thirteen. If you want rights so badly, stop isolating yourself as a separate group, collaborate with the rest of China in a United Front.

It's a tragedy, but some of the students were extremely violent and getting out of hand. I have first hand accounts of people who were there. Negotiation really was attempted. It's not as clear cut as you'd think. This happened 1989.
Now, please let me hear your opinion of the more recent Waco Seige.

I'll expand on this topic Nike Ninja, Tianmen Square incident, "天安門事件", was technically led by college students. After Mao's era, China felt freedom of speech and protest is needed to build a more democratic, and better government. But students brought up all the problems China had at once, and China couldn't handle them, because it takes literally 50 years to build China to what it is today, as you can see in the Olympic ceremony. No one was killed by guns, guns were fired to scare off students, and tanks did not run over the person who was standing in front of it. You will not find a single clip of the tank running over the protester, the tank went around him.
