  • excellent break down of the slow autobahn are you doing the 2 click part with a twiddle ?

  • like your video breakdown instructions, i find this particular video more helpful than most, but it dosent sound the same as rafiks various versions, its good tho, could you put together a tutorial with your great breakdown idea for the rafik scratchlopieda demo because is really confusing, also can you do a prism scratch video breakdown. cheers!

  • what equipment did you use?

    well done:)

  • THANK YOU MAN, That was alot of help!!!

    Cheers!

  • Drum Paradiddles (r-l-r-r-l-r-l-l-) and standard Chirps for the drummers amongst you...

  • Sounds stupid when its really fast!

  • it looks like your doing a twiddle with it in the start of the tut

  • i can do it, but i cant do it that fast like u were in the begining

  • props! good tut ,helping me alot ass well.thanks

  • I'm still struggling with boomerangs but i'm going to get straight on autobahns once I can do them! Great tutorial and sick scratching!

  • @bobbystips SAME ! can't do a boomerang so fast

  • thats delayed 3click imo

  • Actually the click pattern is 2-1-2, so definitely not a delayed 3 clicker

  • thanx mayn for the tut

  • Good shit homie! Your helping me out alot. Doing anymore tuts?

  • nice vid jonny. think the best way to describe it tho is a boomerang with an extra click in it! how i think of it any way

  • it is an autobahn - there are 2 different things that people are calling an autobahn. The skratchlopedia vid is confusing and Rafik has said he was accidentally doing 2 different things....

  • your right mate there is a few variations, each sounds pretty fuckin dope lol

big up man your vids are easy to understand

  • This is not an Autobahn Scratch...

    A tight variaion though..

    Prop's..

  • Thank you! Good explanation on what your doing on the bottom

  • very good explanation. thx for it

  • that beat is sick

  • I enjoyed the vid and thought it was well done.

Also - that beat is jammin!!

I'd love to cut to that!!

props to anyone cutting to really mean beats

  • ...me no likes you... =)

  • quality shit mate,,i don't care what the scratch is called so i won't argue with that bollocks,,it sounds good anyway,,keep it up,,( make some of your own scratch names up,,that'll piss the haters off!) haha peace!

  • johnny1move is right, that is what i want to said!!

  • In fact - djx2k has already done videos for both patterns on his channel.

If anyone's still confused please check his channel and blog (linked from his vids) and all should become clear :-)

  • two different scratches is what u are doing. autobahn's break the sound into three pieces and it is all forward motion

  • Thank you for trying to tell me what I am doing, but what you describe is not what I am doing ;-)

There are two different patterns commonly called the autobahn, by Rafik's own admission he did 2 differnet "autobahn" patterns on the Skrathlopedia DVD. You are talking about the fast pattern with 9 sounds, this is the slow pattern, with 8.

The record movement of this pattern is the same as a delayed 3 click flare - nothing like the fast autobahn

  • Maybe it is just me but you do three diff scratches here. The fast one at the start, the slow breakdown and the last one, all of them are different and do not sound like auto nuttin. You are doing delayed flare combos and it sounds good ,it's just not autobahn's.

  • sorry, but it you who made a mistake!!

  • Sorry mate it's deffo the same pattern all the way through - 8 sounds, as I describe and breakdown.

I know it's not just delayed flares because I'm doing 2 click - 1 click - 2 click and repeat. Again, the slow autobahn pattern is the proper pattern as described in the skratchlopedia dvd and has 8 sounds done with 5 clicks (including in the one at the start cos you start closed)

It's a strange scratch at first, but when you get it it has a really unique feel. Learn it and you'll see ;-)

  • hey nice breakdown mate, but i thought it had 9 sounds...this is 8 right?

  • What Rafik does on Skratchlopedia is two patterns.

The slow pattern is this with 8 sounds.

The fast pattern is the first half of a boomerang done twice then a backwards flare. Youre fingers end up doing a regular 2 click pattern. I'll do a video ;-)

  • thank you for breaking this down!!!

  • what is this beat called?

  • It's from Sound Trauma by Le Jad

  • dope ass shit bro... thanks for the breakdown

  • whats the name of this beat?

  • good work on break it down. thanks!

  • a gr8 break down man

  • great tutorial man..thanks

  • Cool vid man.

  • --dope!!!---
