I don't know whether it makes me want to pick up the pen again, because I remember my inspiration for writing in the first place, or if it makes me want to put it down because I can never reach something of this magnitude. What an incredible song. Blu & Exile need to work together again and put out a new album.

  • @nolove4dacrook Real Hip-hop is timeless. Doesn't matter if you find it a year or 10 years after release. It keeps its value.

  • @nolove4dacrook man it always goes that way

  • @nolove4dacrook Seems as if I only find good music by accident.

  • pynclan my man your well comme.P.E.A.C.E

  • the best rap song ever....i fuckin love it, can't stop to listen this song.....

  • honestly, the greatest hip hop song of all time.

the musicality of the exile beat plus the rawness and honesty of blu's lyrics, it just kills it.

and to think he was only 22 when he wrote it, so much lyrical maturity.

  • if you wanna check out a real young upcoming real hip hop artist...type Tasoma n listen to dreamy.

    Shout ot to blue

  • YO, let me help out some of you .HIP HOP is the name of the culture and RAP is it's music and that's that. PEACE( Dice.b)

  • break it down like diiis. yo hip hop yea tht the cultere n rap yo tht tha bussiness a old skoler let me into ths cultere n broke it down like tht to me so keep it real P.E.A.C.E.

  • opening verses as real as it gets

  • loooove this song. gets major plays in my ears daily

  • SMOOTH

  • i think i just found my new fave emcee.

  • Too dope. I love the play on the classic symobolism of dancin in the rain, and it is ironic how he talks about how he has trouble using the struggle as motivation to write but yet it did help him write this very song. Deeper meaning, story telling, no gimmicks, mad flow and soulful Blu is the truth.

"Dont nobody wanna liberate the weight of the pain-

just move yo ass" whaaat I guess virgins don't get it...

  • i interpreted it as the idea that people are conditioned towards apathy or at most being merely content with life. Instead of being happy for the sake of being happy and freeing ourselves from the pain, we have been conditioned to accept it and just keep movin' on.

  • You can leave me on an island with this song playing for eternity!

  • real music finally

  • west coast tha best coast

  • I think that there is a difference between Hip Hop and just straight up Gangsta Rap or rap music. The difference is that most Hip Hop is deep, reflective, versatile, and relevant to the world as a whole or to an emotion that is common in everyone. Rap on the other hand is a genre that is exploited in mainstream audiences and has more of gangster undertone to it. Rap is characterized by a beat and slapstick and stereotypical lyrics, or at least that is how mainstream depicts it. Some rap is good.

  • amen

  • wikipedia that

  • Hiphop is rap, graff, b-boying & DJing..

So you're just talkin' outta ya ass right now dawg..

  • dawg tell how an LA man is lyrical ?? how did that happen lol...rareee...

  • lol your ignorant on westcoast hiphop if u didnt know that they had lyrical rappers

  • hoshang ur an idiot lmaooooooo dawg take in ras kass lyrical mc from da west coast

  • tell me how you still going around saying "dawg"

  • this dude is dope

  • Just discovered this dude a week ago and loving him. This is hip hop. I'm not gonna say this is "real" hip hop, because there is ONLY real hip hop. Everything we call "fake " hip hop just isn't hip hop, period.

  • true say ;)

  • word to big bird

  • what????????

  • old skool hapnin

  • Comment removed

  • I dont get it man why isnt good music on top anymore? Isnt that the objective....to make GOOD music???

Well until it gets back up there ill still be bumpin blu!

  • me too man, me too

  • honestly I dont want it to be on top like most commercial rappers..because it will become lame..and it will become like nothing anymore..it holds this special thing when its listened to people who can REALLY appreciate it..not just people who learn the song for the month..for style.

  • I don't know what you're talking about

  • dumb ass

you gotta chill to it bitch ass

  • i'm a dumbass cuz i dont chill to Blu? im not hating on him, so YOU should chill.

  • you were hatin nigga.

  • if i was hating i would say he was a bitch ass like u, but i didnt i said he got skills but i wudnt bump it after the first time, so read my shit again cuz u def didnt read it right the first time, theres no hate if anythin i gave him props. i think we done here

  • shut the fuck up

you were hating so go home bitch

stop just get off the computer dont even write back to this

  • Yeah, I see what your talking about Ryver. Sometimes Hip Hop can be a little too chill and a little too complex for people to care to listen to it. You also got to take into consideration that not everyone sits down and listens, most people don't have time. I could see how this would be boring to people, but I like this Hip-Hop, so its not boring to me.

  • BLU & EXILE are the truth.

saw these dudes at the Key Club in L.A.

they fuckin killed it. along with Wale and U-N-I.

and i co-sign whoever said that they need to put out another album together.

  • u nice

  • blu needs to get back in the studio with exile.. whenever all the bullshit on youtube gets too much for me i just throw on blu and chill

  • man this is music right here!! makes you feel good

  • love Blu & Exile they da shit

  • This s*** is crazy! Blu is sick as hell with the storytellin . . .

  • Great shit. Theres a lot of great artists coming out since the death of hip hop. They just dont have the exposure they used too.

This wack candy-rap shit cant and wont last forever though.

    Viva La Revolucion!

  • word to life sonn!! hip hop making its come back

  • very true. I admire this album...i love it as much as illmatic.

It's hip hop in its purist form, it's just brilliant.

    Fuck lil wayne.

  • Yes sir...Below the Heavens is epic...co sign that an fuck Lil' wayne...an I'm from the south too...d:-(D>

  • its only a matter of time before the hotness is back in style

  • Yess true hiphop is comin

  • This sounds like it belongs to an Adult Swim bump.

  • I wished Blu and other good artist would come to Holland.

  • timmy, the name of the track is In Rememberance of Me. yeah, that show was hype! and you could download the album on amazon. i think you might be able to get the actual cd at tower records. Im diggin blu hard right now. they def have a new fan!

  • i was there too at bb kings last night. i never heard of blu but he was sick and a good opener for kweli and idle warship. i think lupe would be hot on this track too

  • you were there too?

BLU put on a hell of a show!!

i cant stop listening to his tracks now.

I really want to buy his album, but i couldn't find it.

do you know the name of that song he did where the hook goes "take me back, take me back, i remmember, i remember, i remember that"?

  • i saw Blu perform live last night, he's SICK.

one of the best i ever heard.

  • this would be a sick track if lupe fiasco jumped in it...before yal talk smack, i never said this track sucks wit out lupe.

  • ahhh i love lupe, he would be perfect on this

  • This is such a good song

  • eh thier kinda the same but this ones alot slower if they are

  • the beats from Commons-The Questions

  • No...not the same beat but they're both dope beats...

  • I agree with ademan11... the first verse go hard, and i really love this track the most... It really take you back to when hip-hop was at it's best... not saying we don't have hott artist today, but alot of these kats don't be talkn about no real shit... so... i just wanna say.. keep doin' ya thing... and you have my support bro!! One

  • O M G! First verse is so sick. Had my first real hip-hop audiogasm. I thought lupe' did it but naw... This fool reminded me what they felt like. I haven't had one of those in forever. My heart jumped. Pants rolled up at the bus stop dancin in tha rain... simply golden.

  • what song from lupe you tought was tight?

  • Um, everything lol. Lu is the man. Blu is going to be a legend when it's all said and done.

  • favorite trak on the whole shit....period
