  • this shine is a little feminine with the hips opening and the end of that video was just gay

  • I love this shine too :D ..why are some people so anal about learning shines on mens or womens timing- it's easy enough to switch!

Relax....It's dance it's meant to be fun. :)) Top Clip.

  • you guys are so silly! I love this shine :D

  • yeah, that's it!!!!

  • always dance with a smile , elegant creative, keep it up .

  • ray barretto- el higo de obatala is great song. is off the indestrucible cd. fania records music is great stuff. took a workshop sekou taught in rochester. talented guy. love the roll guys.

  • PERFECT SHINE! Love it! Congratulations

  • hilarious!!!! I can't enough of you two, very funny.. and very talented

  • 2 dudes dancing on women's timing?

  • Yes mambo shines are done women's timing. Of course the guys go on to goof around in the end. Most pro dancers usually know how to follow as well, so no surprise there...

  • FYI, mambo shines are also done on Men's Timing. They are usually done on Women's Timing as a courtesy to the women when you have a mixed setting with both men and women. Men's Styling is also done on Men's Timing as opposed to Women's Styling, which is done on Women's Timing.

  • Well, you sounded like you had an issue with the guys dancing on women's timing but clearly you don't. Which is cool... To each, his or her own.

  • Not women's timing really. Shines are just done breaking forward on 1 or 2, depending on what count you're dancing on... On 1 you would consider that "men's" timing, on 2 "women's" timing...

  • Miller this is women's timing On2. On1 is not part of this conversation.

  • or it's men's timing puertorican style...

  • Sekou and Leon don't dance PR style.

  • point I was making was "women's" timing is a pretty arbitrary thing. If there's no partner, there's no need to agree on where the forward break is.

  • When you dance ET On2 like these 2 guys do, there is nothing arbitrary about it. For my taste, I would prefer to see it demonstrated on both timings.

  • have it your way, since I know you're gonna.

  • looked so easy, but it's hard to look like that...gonna take ages to practice this one!but thanks for the clip, it's an awesome move!

  • they look like invertabrates doing that stuff, backboneless. Squirmy creatures.

  • holly cow, to do that stuff you have to know how to isolate body movements. Prety program your body to do those movements. Not for beginners, for sure.

  • nice very nice! but pls don`t forget the essence of mambo, the 70`s !!!!! let`s keep mambo like it was don`t change directions!

  • I disagree. Dance is not about restrictions and part of the charm is that you can mix stuff up to get better stuff if you want. Keeping it traditional is cool too. To everyone his/her preferences.

  • Wow Shaka with Hair.. This is a long time ago! Whoa! Nice shine. Shaka you need to get this on SalsadynastyDOTcom and post some of your routines! :D It where all salseros go!

  • That's Leon Rose. He was kidding when he said he was Shaka. Lol

  • muy bueno pero no me sale jaja, como se llama la cancion ?

  • The song is 'El hijo de obatala' by Ray Baretto.

  • wicked body movement....

  • WOW!! I MUST LEARNT IT! maybe in a year i will do it...

  • Great footwork! Does anyone know the name of this song and artist please.
