you just need a camera that will allows you set the exposure. Also in respects to exposure you need to set the f. stop (5.6 is pretty good) (set the ISO low as well) All this for you to perfect this type of photography

@Raz0rHDTV if you get a 550D you really should know how to use it.. it does work, go on M mode, set the shutter speed to bulb and put the aperture quite high, f10 or f6.3 like in the vid

you can also set the shutter speed to 30 seconds (30") and use a self timer if you want to draw something big and have the camera on a tripod
