I am sure you were hoping that was a different fish. I landed a 14# guitar fish last week in San Clemente, right off the shore. I needed help because I was angling for Corbina. I was not impressed, would have preferred the Corbina. If I knew what you were hooked onto I would not have bothered to view. Ugly catch, keep fishing!
You better belive I was hoping it was A different fish I was fishing for Halibut! Thought I had one until I saw that thing come up. Still had A pretty good time. It weighed in @ 50 lbs. Hey nice work on your flexability by the way...I wish I could do that!

what size rod and pound test do u use? how big was that one that your buddy had?

I had about A 20lb test line when I caught that fish. It weighed in @ about 50lbs.

awesome video,used to catch them alot as a kid on summer nights on the kitsap peninsula in puget sound. never caught one from a boat, good catch
