Ortho-K - Night Time Contact Lenses - INVENT [BroadbandTV]

I have and this for half an year now and it costed 1300 dollars total for me. It's actually did correct my vision and you can only get this in a doctor's office, if you want good quality ones. Any lens below 150 dollars or 100 can be fake or will not work.

@sakuxsaku4ever How long do you have to wear this? Like, everyday, for the rest of your life (like glasses unless if you do some sort of surgery)? Or just for a few years? And do you have to wear it EVERY night? Sorry for so many questions. >.<

I heard that patients having prescription over -5 are not suitable to wear such lenses.I wear lenses of -8 . Pls help me as i am very eager to improve my vision and also have bought a book online and doing alot of exercise stuff.Would be very thankful of u .*_*

@roserise4 Check with your ophthamalogist. While normal is up to -5 or -6, some Doctors will design their own 'off-label' up to -8. Beyond -8 is possible, but must be very carefully tracked.

@X0XjulietX0X My understanding is that some of the manufacturers approvals only go to certain levels, but a qualified Ophthalmologist can prescribe higher powers, and the manufacturers can make them as requested from the doctor. Also, for some very high myopes - above 9 - they may use them to get them down to a reasonable range, (can see your night clock numbers) but not try to get them all the way to 20/20.

i think this is not a practical solution and it is way too expensive and i think the fucken scientist should focus on curing the disease not the symptoms and for short time this is very disappointing

this is really cool its like a retainer for your eyes i just wish they had a surgery that willl cure your eyes without having to hold your eyes open for like 10 min. to cut your eye and put sumthin in it i wish they would just have to use sum kinda of beam to shoot at your eye and yur done that would awesome

@ThatGuy878 Companies are working on this. One is working on an Eyedrop that will lock in the correction from Ortho-k. Another is trying a chemical which combines with UV light to modify the cornea shape. This is a big market if someone can find the right solution.
