intersting. I've definitely had my share of run-ins with a lot of white chicks with a "tragic rich girl free from consequence/ I have to sleep with every guy I come across but I was only looking for a friend/superiority" complex and I've definitely known a few black chicks with a "get thee behind me other black folks/ white people are the only standard for success, beauty, and class" attitude. I've seen enough of it in the military I don't even need to watch the movie.
Golly, did I ever hate this movie. Most flicks nowadays are told with moronic simplicity replete with pretend-actors and actresses sleepwalking through their formulated scripts. The story actually attempted to be something serious, but jumped from one scene to another without any sense of continuity and in the process didn't provide a single reason to care about anyone cast.
This movie is an instant classic. Great acting, writing and just emotionally charged. Good to see a great HS drama in the current world of bubbly HS crap. Excellent flic. Highly recommended!
