3LARI: I'm sure Mr. Baumgartner will answer when he has time, but in the meantime, what you're seeing is called paper marbling.The tub was filled with water, then inks were dropped on the surface & swirled. The sheets drying on the racks used color inks. With the brushes, the left one has black ink, the right one is clean and just breaks the surface tension of the ink. In either case,a paper sheet lowered into the tub (see start of video) picks up the ink from the surface of the water.
Could you tell me how you create those psychedelic designs in that basin? Is that liquid water, and what is on the second brush that makes the paint repel and move out to create rings?
