No matter what name a producer or writer uses, it's going to be the same or very similar to someone elsed name. However the producer could have been courteous and politely apologetic for the coincidence. How hard would that have been?

Law and Order SVU is one of my favorite shows on tv and I can't stand Elisabeth Hasselbeck, but I actually agree with her. That's really hurt and mean. It's pretty obvious the character was named for her. Understandable that they wouldn't want to present her in positive light but that's a bit much.

Law and Order SVU is one of my favorite shows on tv and I can't stand Elisabeth Hasselbeck, but I actually agree with her. That's really hurt and mean. It's pretty obvious the character was named for her. Understandable that they wouldn't want to present her in positive light but that's a bit much.

If you are being honest and have watched a lot of episodes you know I am telling the truth. From the top of my head I can only remember three episodes of "Criminal Intent" that had non-white bad guys. I sincerely apologize if I have offended you.

Erm, so I just watched the rest. It's MARISHKA, Rosie. She knows how to say it, I'm pretty sure MH was on Rosie's show so that was just dumb. I'm really surprised at her, and them all, how do they not know that the SVU is a real police squad? I'm female but I also know, and don't accept, because it is a fact, most sexual crimes are committed against females. Ideally, they wouldn't be committed at all, so I'd never say it should be equal either, it just shouldn't be. These women are so ignorant.

I don't think SVU is offensive or bad. I love it and I watch it everyday. I get where she is coming from with the name thing but they didn't have to day its a bad show and they didn't need another law & order. I don't think they understand how much it could help someone. Not defending the producers of SVU, but EH has said and suggested many things that reflect her point of view, either without checking the facts or ignoring them. She has the right to come on that show and say basically whatever she wants, and does it. The producer of that show has the right to allow whatever storylines/characters he wants-but you would never hear EH acknowledge that, because she's offended.
She must not have learned that you can't have it both ways.
