We had an EF4 tornado here around my area of Toledo, Ohio about a month ago. Milbury, Ohio looks like a war zone...it's very sad. This is a great video. Hugs from Toledo, Ohio!!!
o my god dude!! i just about shit myself wen this happened!! i was playing my xbox and all of the sudden i heard the sirens go off!! luckly we had neibors living downstairs who let us go down thier!!
Excellent footage but these folks are extremely lucky that this tornado was relatively weak and did not seriously injure them. ALWAYS have an escape route...
I got off work at the big apple at 5 oclock when the sirens started going off. to the west was the tornadoes. with in 10 15 mins the tornado was in town. i got to 16 and I when the first big blast of wind hit. and then i stood out side until we started getting debris from one of the tornadoes. its so weird seeing something i lives through. were were lucky. not the first tornadoes i have seen and to me this wasnt bad. i kinda want another. i like tornadoes.
at like 3:05 the bus doors are flopping all over> this was the tornado that tore the shit out of the buffalo county fairgrounds building and they still havent rebuilt it
I was three houses away from Kwik Stop West wen this hit.. it was insane, And that fool who talked about the stratford, yea i remember that.. that pool house is still gone
@jpskiskate2000 YES! nobody else notice this?? theres no one in the driver seat of that bus either!! freaky...thats whats so bizar about tornados...thats hard to explain to people
i wish someone would have got footage of the tornado that ripped that stratford apartment like in half and piled some cars on top of each other on 39th street... (same storm)
You guys are lucky those tornadoes were small, still, you could have gotten that young lady with you and yourself killed. It looks to me like you went under the overpass on 2nd ave? Bad strategy, underpasses act as wind tunnels in a tornado. Excellent video, but not worth your life. Be careful.
they were professional storm chasers dillhole. These people had a show on the Discovery channel, so don't criticize them like you know what you're talking about
i was watching the warnings going up on the NWS website that day while me and a friend were playing flight sim 2004 and using activesky. my friend asked me where we should go next and i said kearny its the next place to be tornado warned. now i feel like i never should have said that. i also said that the tornados were gonna follow interstate 80 till they got to a river and then go north which they did till they got past it then they dropped back down towards omaha and I-80 again.
also i said that kearny would be tornado warned about 10 or 15 minutes before they put the warning up on the NWS website it was just shortly after lexington had a tornado warning for there. i still cant figure out how i knew where the warnings were gonna be other than the fact i was watching the way the storm was traveling on the NWS radar. idk mabey i should be one of those storm spotter too my friend in illinois is one
I told my coworkers the same thing as we were leaving Lexington at 4:30 that day. We got the front end of the storm before anyone, city shut down the Interstate and had to take H-30 back home. Got to about Darr Rd., and looked behind us to see a monster of a wall cloud. I had a gut feeling that it would hit Kearney and do something like this.
I was totally driving in this, I was actually right behind it and it was super scary. The worst was not knowing what to do and being alone in a car...Yikes...They now call me twister ;)
holy shit.. anyone know what time this was at and how close to I-80 it was.. i live in iowa and went to colorado that day.. i think i passed through kearney at around 2 pm..
I live in kearney and the tornados we had were horrable and my grandpas business was damaged really band and it was very scary and i hope i dont relive that ever agian
Very scary stuff here! I live in Omaha and these storms were supposed to come our way too. Fortunately we were not hit, but I feel terrible for all of those who were affected by the tornadoes.

Getting ready to move back to my home town. My afmily and I can not wait. Sounds like 2009 will be as bad if not worse for severe storms.

how is it that a tornado can take off roofs, and knock down trees but the cars just stand there and arent knocked over by the wind?
