You get kingdra by trading a seadra holding the item "dragon scale". You can find one dragon scale in the same cave where Karate Master gives you a tyrogue.

Level doesn't interfere much on evolution. Just evolve it as soon as it has all the moves you want.

@krillansavillan Because it does enough damage so Tyranitar can knock him out next with a single earthquake. It does slightly more damage than flamethrower and, unlike outrage, it allows me to witch quickly next to Tyranitar. Electrode always paralize,. That's why I not only don't switch immediately to tyranitar, but also paralyze him with dragonite's thunder wave. That way, I don't have a paralized Tyranitar.

I bet the higher level competitions are easier because by those levels your Pokemon have some of the strong moves that the other trainers have, evening up the score. yeah, you're right man. Lvl 100 duels are just "piece a cake"(sorry I don't know how to write it. I mean they're so easy) Yep, a level 20 tauros is a perfect example. You just can't anticipate what kind of attack will hit you. Anyway, I must admit that this is a real challange :)

The good news is that you will always encounter Pokemon from a set list, and each Pokemon on that list has 4 set attacks. For example, the level 20 Tauros always has... let me look it up here... Thunderbolt, Earthquake, Hyper Beam, and Blizzard. Crazy, aint it?

Well, as said previously, those pokémon have fixed movesets. Also, if you have patience, you can breed pokémon. This way, they can inherit some moves from their parents, including moves that they only would learn at very high levels. Together with TMs, this allows very flesible movesets from very early levels.

Breeding makes possible creating such Tauros, and even more impossible pokémon: have you ever imagined an Aerodactyl with Dragon Rage at level 10? No pokémon can outspeed it at level 10, nor have 40 HP to spare. You can take this beast to battle tower and sweep entire armies. Easy prizes, and easy money if you sell them, I tell you.

its not so. I've defeated battle tower att all lvls. low lvls are much easier due to the one-attack-KO rate is much higher thus reducing the odds of attack missing, getting frozen solid and so on.

Also, in Crystal, you can choose the level of your oponents, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 , 60 and so on.

Well, I'm no sure, it depends on the moves your pokémon have.

Maybe you could try using Dragonite, golduck (substitute for Kingdra), Nidoking (substitute for Tyranitar) with a similar strategy to mine.

The secret, IMO is switching to a pokémon that has advantage against the opponent. hey never switch, so it is easy to consistently keep the upperhand. The only problem is that they have a bigger diversity of pokémon than your selected three, so it may be hard to get this with all trainers.

just use poliwrath for a starter, make sure

he has a strong move like for example dynamic punch...

then give him waterfall and toxic

after that use alakazam and give him physic... make sure he has recover at all times :P

Because draggie's wing attack doessn't KOes hitmonchan in 1 hit, and his ice punch can be rather harmful. It can cripple my team in the future. On the other hand, it can't do much damage on Kingdra, who can beat Hitmonchan in the same speed (if not faster) than Dragonite.

best theme for lvl 100 battle tower imo: mewtwo from yellow (with recover, ice beam, psychic, thunderbolt), blissey with counter and softboiled (both in yellow) + ice beam and flamethrower, tyranitar (with earthquake, rock slide, hyper beam and surf). it takes forever but if u eventually get these pkmn, u WILL win

Well, I reached by beating Elite Four and red once a day (not time consuming). Helps having a traded pokémon (not my case). You can reach VERY quickly if you train a traded pokémon on Silver cave.
