The three goddess daughters of Allah worshipped at the Kaabah were Al-Lat (whose sign was a crescent moon), Manat & al-'Uzza (whose sign was the star Venus). This information is generally accepted and all over Wikipedia. The three goddess are identified by Hisham ibn al-Kalbi and the Kitab al-Asnam.

I used to think about Islam differently. I thought it was much more similar to Christianity than it is, and I thought that Mohammed had a revelation of the one God, calling Him "Allah".

His wars and killings both reflect & inform the meaning of the Quran. The violent passages in the Tanakh don't amount to a standing order to commit violence against the rest of the world. Christians who curse are not consistent with the Gospel, which is of an opposite nature. John 12:47 "If any one hears my sayings and does not keep them, I do not condemn him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world." St Paul taught, "Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them." (Romans 12:14)

The teaching of the Qur'an of Muhammad is evidently opposed to the teaching of the Gospel of Jesus, particularly in the way that the Qur'an considers fighting between humans as a good (2:216) whereas the Gospel teaches us to reject fighting (Matt 26:52).

God can be likened to the Sun in a way. The sun is a sphere of gas. We can only see it's there because it sends us light. We also feel the invisible heat it produces. The Sun's light & warmth are produced within it so it would be wrong to say that they are not as much the Sun as the gas. Yet gas is not light is not heat. Likewise, Jesus is the light by which we see the image of the Father and he brings with him the life-giving Holy Spirit. All are distinct yet all are God.

Christians who damn others to hell are easily seen to be not in accord with the Gospel of Jesus. Muslims who damn others to hell are not so easily seen to be not in accord with authoritative Muslim teaching. In this case, your behaviour seems to match Qur'an 3:61 "invoke the curse of Allah upon the liars".

This shows a major essential difference between the Gospel of Jesus and the teaching of Muhammad. It is often all too easy to curse. It is often much harder to say, "Father, forgive them.."

It is not immediately obvious that Muslims worship the moon and morning star, but the use of the crescent and star, and the bowing to the black stone that fell from the sky, and other facts, considered carefully, indicate that Islam does originate in moon worship.
Allah / Allat were the moon god / goddess pair worshipped in the region, before Mohammed began to spread his new religion.

The three goddess daughters of Allah worshipped at the Kaabah were Al-Lat (whose sign was a crescent moon), Manat & al-'Uzza (whose sign was the star Venus). This information is generally accepted and all over Wikipedia. The three goddess are identified by Hisham ibn al-Kalbi and the Kitab al-Asnam.

You may believe in one god but it is apparently a god who instructs Muslims to fight and kill. I prefer the God who teaches Christians to love their enemies. I used to think about Islam differently. I thought it was much more similar to Christianity than it is, and I thought that Mohammed had a revelation of the one God, calling Him "Allah".
The more I investigate Islam, reading and watching videos, the more aware I become of significant differences between what your books / preachers teach about God, and what the Bible and Christian preachers teach about Him.
There is a lot of material online. Read widely.

I used to think that Islam was a way for many people to approach God, though the style (customs) were different to Christianity. Now that I have examined the theological content more closely, comparing it the the Bible and the church, I see that there are significant differences; I no longer view these faiths as 2 approaches to the same God.

In my Christian tradition, we are encouraged to ask questions, read widely, study theology if possible, and understand the Bible.

Pick a Quran from one part of the world printed this year and compare it with another printed 100s of years ago, the translation may vary including the Israeli manipulated version, but the "Arabic scripture(word of god)" will be same

There are variants between manuscripts of the Qu'ran. AFAIK, variants found in recent years do not change the message much, but that is not the same as them not existing.
There used to be more variation, but AFAIK Uthman gathered all the manuscripts he could, long ago, had a single version made, then DESTROYED all the older manuscripts, to prevent textual comparisons.
But some older ones were later found!

There are many versions in English, which gives me a good choice of style and vocabulary.
I learned a little koine Greek, but no Hebrew (yet).

@JesusChristAboveAll Quran was written ins arabic without vowels because Arabs do not need to write vowels to pronounce their text correctly, but in the other parts of the peninsular, the same scripture was pronounced with variation, since they didn't know the proper pronunciation of the actual literature. Therefore the utman(3rd kalifa of Islam, after the demise of the Prophet), rewrote the book with proper vowels to be pronounced properly and all other books without vowels were destroyed.

The actual Hebraic version of Bible, did mention about the last messenger by name "Muhammad" in the "Song of Solomon" later it was removed. The quotes in red are the actual words of Isaa AS(Jesus) and are found in Quran also. Bani Israel betrayed their own Prophet Moses, they did not spare Jesus either, now they are struggling to do something about Quran and the last Prophet too.
