@supersayin1 A new model. vxr8 is the hsv e-series 1. Hsv are up to E3. E2 had new body kit which included LED daytime running lights. E3 has a new touch screen audio thing which can give you high tech race like information. Check my channel for the australian television commercial (dont worry, only have 3 vids).

It would've cost alot more money than they had already spent on the VE, had they have done a VE Monaro. Because the 2002 - 2005 Monaro was based (obviously) on the VX - VZ Commodores. Its unlikely they'll built a VE Monaro at this stage.

Another Holden Piece of Rubbish: I was the unfortunate owner of a VXR8 and from the day of purchase from Holden as a custom order, 80k AUD purchase price, 4 years of amazing design defects, 4 motors, and traveled 40K in 4 years. nearly 2 years of hire cars from holden and AVIS. Problems from Paint, trim, engine, brakes, camber rear, shifter hitting dashboard, gearbox, diff seals, squeeky dash, front and rear bars not aligned bla. Good Looking car, mechanically SHi&. Never Never again. BEWARE!
gt2s are very light id say about 3100lbs with 480hp at the tires its a givin it would launch faster than a heavy saloon but it looks like you missed a shift did you brake launch. yet and still that is a monster you have there
Didn't miss a shift if I remember, but these gear boxs are so heavy and slow to change that it can look like that some times especially 1-2nd. once they get going though they can reel most stuff in......:D

How can you judge without trying one, the gearbox is the biggest drawback in these cars, I have one also and its super slow compared with all other cars I owned when changing gear :)
