well the thumbsticks have: 8 possible directions which can be assigned, x2 thumbsticks = 18 (16 +2 click function) d-pad 4 buttons, LT-left trigger. @demonpride1975 Well first of all youre assuming that movement in wow can be handled by a d-pad. It just cant. You need one trigger to control camera movement at least and the dpad for movement. That leaves 11 buttons and that just isnt enough. Even my ret pally, the easiest class to play in the game, needs more than 11 skills on hand. You might be able to squeeze a dps rotation in there, but what about items, equipment sets, mounts, spellbook, crafting, etc. The list extends to the horizon.

@Nonsensei436 really you dont say. ok maybe you have missed the fact that most pads nowdays come with two thumbsticks. wich means yet 2 more sets of buttons. but if you really wanna get technical its more then that. take for instance thumbstick depressed then both bumpers triggers and buttons become action buttons. thats 8 for each thumbstick another 16. start button for sub menus. yeah consoles tend to have a crappier ui for games but it can be done.

Frankly, i find the idea of plugging a keyboard and mouse into your 360 to play wow to be an exercise in futility. It doesnt take much of a computer to run wow and make it look good, and xbox wow will probably make you go through XBL tacking on an extra fee.

No registry, no long installation, no small monitor (yes, a meter and a half plasma TV with uber 7.2 surround system) and extremely comfortable enjoyment of playing on something that actually support anatomy of human hands.

Beside, PS3 plays cryengine 2 on mere 256MB vram while PC needs at least 768 or 512 GPU based with full support from processing unit core.

@deathdunn In the day, I would have recommended either Ultima Online, which I believe is far more in depth than WoW even attempts to be, or Everquest.... I played WoW for about 2 months before they released the expansion to raise your characters to level 70. Within the first month I had basically done everything... I had my level 60 in 3 weeks which was apparently fast for the time especially a new player. But I was already used to a complex game, Ultima Online, which sucks now due to EA...
