I think it's a really neat set, but why buy it when the show continues to grow? I own all 8 volumes of the show, including both star wars movies, and the Stewie grifin movie, and I intend on buying the upcoming DVDs as the release. For instance this upcoming month, a new family guy DVD is coming out, which holds the never seen on tv, controversal abortion episode, and by next year, another Star wars parody.

I was very very tempted to buy this but then i realized that there will most likely be another big set within 1-2 years. this is the 2nd big Family Guy set to be released. The 1st big set was the "Freakin' Sweet Party Pack". So there is no doubt in my mind that this is just yet another big set with MANY to follow. although it's tempting, i am going to wait

It was worth it for me because it was a way to catch up on the entire show at once and get a cool-looking box set at a good price. But you're right, it's not comprehensive, so there's a chance I'd have to buy it all again after the show ends and the official complete set comes out. Guess I'd say if you want it now, get it now. Otherwise it doesn't hurt to wait.

Thanks. It's worth buying if you're a fan, as long as you keep in mind that it isn't a 'complete' series, as the show is still in production. The packaging is great and it has all the extras you'd expect. Plus if you don't have any Family Guy on DVD yet (like me) it's great for getting you caught up. Hope that helps.
