  • Obviously not thought out well this game. Space Marines are zealous, you have a better chance of convincing a Potato it is a Cucumber than convincing a Space Marine that allying with aliens is a good idea. Then consider how fast the Exterminatus fleet arrived, if you go by that they were in Segmentum Solar where the Ordos are based then guess this is set around the edges of the Eastern Fringe which would take the fleet a least a month to arrive there.

  • @PROkiller16 space marines have worked with xenos before. eldar mostly. never past a few battles though. not to mention Ordo Xenos have used aline help before. this game looks dumb though lol

  • @Majora48 When you have an Exterminatus fleet coming who needs some extra hands, well if this hand apparently has the might of Khorne. Not shitting you there, the novelisation says that.

I believe in the sequel to this the Ultramarines hop into battle on space hoppers firing giant lasers out of their eyes as the Tau single handly rip apart a world with a fork.

  • @PROkiller16 You would be right if you were talking about the Black Templars and the likes, but philosophies vary greatly between Chapters. The Ultramarines and the Blood Ravens are far more reasonable per example, and temporary alliances between them and aliens versus a common foe are not unheard of.

  • @Sharagran They bomb the planet to the point of Exterminatus (shit loads of cyclone torpidoes) so getting on the ground is pointless because it will soon be smoking rubble.

Ultrasmurfs? Reasonable?! Nice joke. We learn from their fluff they strictly follow the Codx and you will be punished for not following it, an alliance is against the Codex because Girlyman has an ego the size of the Galaxy and to say "Ask for help" is bursting his huge go.

Blood Ravens just steal the enemies.

  • I can mark clearly the Eagle Nebula in the background of this bombardment. I guess that this happened relatively not too far away from Earth?

  • @AVIATIO well it is never said where Dolumar IV is located but since The Tau can't get very far the planet should be somewhere nere Tau space which is quite some way away from Earth.

probably the programmers did not want space to just be black so they added it in and hoped noone would notice that detail :)

  • Oh what a suprise, the main character looks exactly the same as ever other tau firewarrior.

  • EXTERMINATUS UP IN THIS BITCH!!!

  • Haha keep to spacebattles people

  • And how the fuck does this equal the same motherfucking firepower that motherfucking Forerunner ships put out? HUH?

  • @HaloPokemon5Master noo idea what you are talking about

  • The best thing about this game is the cutscenes.

  • The game isnt crap, you just suck at it badly...

  • @Borg639 I suck in alot of good games aswell but that don't change the fact that this game suck.

    And thats my opinion.

  • @uBrosis Alright i guess... cant be good at everything

  • @uBrosis

It's supposed to suck. It's years old.

  • Like Tau, we shall thiumph!!!! XD

  • an illustration of one of the many things about 40k that makes no god damn sense. a tiny fragment of an imperial fleet has enough fire power to rip the surface of a planet to shreds but they will still send hordes of imperial guard to go toe to toe with tyranids and get chewed up for more hive feed rather than just glass the whole lot from orbit.

  • @milkkart

Well, some worlds are to valuable to nuke from orbit. Besides, IG fighting is grimderp

  • @commissarmanul well, they do have orbital weapons that are small calibre enough to just wipe out a battlefield. though i suppose building a few of those probably costs more than training and equipping the damage equivalent in guardsmen and of course the people running the imperium do seem to have a thing for bloodshed and very little compunction about it being the blood of their own.

  • @milkkart

I agree, but I guess some planets are too important to be destroyed.

  • is this man a Chaos Marine or a regular Space Marine? the power armour looks blackish purple, so idk

  • @SlyFox70100 That's Captain Ardias of the Ultramarines third Company (they have red trimming on their shoulder pads), the lightning in that place makes the armour look darker then it is.

  • @SlyFox70100 Many loyalist chapters have wide variations of colours anyway.

  • EXTERMINATUS!

  • fare well, fire warrior- nukes the crap outa him

  • this was the shittiest game ever to grace games ever...

  • Souls fo the Golden Throne!!! -_-

  • @uayamba Nope... MILK FOR THE KHORNE FLAKES!!

  • Comment removed

  • OMFG! I'll never get these two minutes of my life back!

  • i hope that the start of avatar 2 will be like that

  • I guess the Ultramarines finally found the hiding place of Bieber.

  • @DEMIGODofWAR7 Then you obviously did not get the joke...XP

  • America! Fuck yeah!

  • Тау процветают. Впрочем как и всегда.

  • @Magotvig Exactly!..... whatever it means ^^;

  • @uBrosis I totally conccur.

  • @uBrosis It sez: Tau are prospering, like always.

  • @Harogrim Thank you!

  • @uBrosis Your welcome.

  • I'm liking the Deathstar at 0:54.

  • Feel the power of the Emperor.

  • so beautiful!!!!!!

  • @pancakes578 First of all, those heretic greyskins will perish beneath the Might of the Imperium.

Secondly, the Tyranids are not Zerg ripoffs. It is vice-versa.

  • The Daemon Tar'khax was behind this whole operation. A Greater Daemon of Tzeentch, he was permanently destroyed by Shas and the entire army of Word Bearer Chaos Marines, was slaughtered.

This has got to be the most underrated game ever. I liked it.

  • A cool major plot arc for Warhammer 40k would be if an entire hivefleet diverted into Tau space. That'd rock.

It would go something like this: "NOM"

And the galaxy would then lose it's one pocket of suck

  • @Driekan isn' there a big part of the hive fleet picknicking in the tau space because of ciaphas cain?

  • @SSeth123

I had not heard, will try to read up on that. If it is true, then I must salute Games Workshop yet again and hope the Tyranid breakfast is done by the time they release the next edition.

  • @Driekan IM HAVING A TAU VS TYRANIDS GAME SOON. ALL CLOSE COMBAT VS ALL GUNS. SORRY MY CAPS AND SHIFT ARE BROKED ON/.;

  • @MrKoiking1

Well, hope those tau are tasty, and best of luck to the Tyranid player. Happy eating!

  • @Driekan

I've got the Tau codex; the Tyranids are attacking a the galaxy from three (main) directions, one of which is smack bang ontop of the Tau.

  • εξόντησις του πλανήτου

  • I wish you had left in the credits music. Its epic. I cant seem to find a video with the credits music on youtube.

  • chuck norris wouldve stained his britches if he was saw that. Chuck norris aint got nothing on the imperium

  • Comment removed

  • @CatholicSpaceNazi Gasp! : O

  • cyclonic torpedoes

  • wow they really dont like chaos huh

  • @xaki23

    Are you really surprised?

  • The only way to stop Chaos is to take off and nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

  • Thats what happens when you cant speak TAU.

  • I've finished that game....it gets f**king hard

  • I love how they could have just one shotted the planet with a single Cyclonic torpedo but they shoot like 30

  • экстерминатус!

  • @Tarnavchik Google translates that into "eksterminatus!" ^^;

  • Terra Invictus!!!!

  • Exterminatus: If I can't have this planet, NO ONE CAN.

  • no ;)

  • see, the big differance between the Impirium of Man and the Tau Empire, is 1) we dont go around blowing planets up. 2)we offer people a choice:join us or die. and 3) we are not stuck in the past.

  • is not that terra???

  • @Jhon47807 No it's not Terra, thats Dolumar IV.

  • @uBrosis ok I haver never playd that game so sorry... XD

  • @Jhon47807

    sure the ultramarines destroy Terra.....

  • Is Kais the same guy who was later appointed commander of the Tau forces in Dark Crusade? Because that would fit, If I was a fire warrior and killed over 200 imperial guardsmen, 15 Space marines including two sergeants, 156 Chaos Space marines, 3 Obliterators, 42 Raptors, 17 Sorcerors, 2 Daemon Princes, a Warhound Titan and A lord of Change by myself I'd probably be appionted Shas' lo. Makes sense doesn't it?

P.S. None of this is exaggerated for new players.

  • @TheFoilGuy Maybe... maybe not... Kais is a rather common name In the Fire caste so it might just be someone else who has the same name.

heh did you count how many of everything you get to kill? :P and I think It's only one demon prince since the admiral turns into a spawn.

  • @uBrosis Oh well I forgot the spawn, but remember, one daemon prince at the Titan, and another at the Chaos pit portal room. Remember? P.S. My bad, 5 Obliterators.

  • @TheFoilGuy ahhhh oh yes now I remember, forgotr about the second prince ^^;

  • @TheFoilGuy Don't forget the dreadnoughts, I think there was maybe five of them.

  • @uBrosis Actually it is him =D read it mate

  • did the tau lose if they did that sucks cause i play tau

  • @ski29851a Well that depends on how you look at it, Kais failed to save the Ethereal but he killed the greater demon (in the novel he had help from Ardias and a squad of crisis suits ^^; ) and the space marines bombed the planet since it was tainted by chaos (it was a Imperial planet btw), while the Tau go home and have cake... sort of :P

  • Oogh, the animation...X(

  • I'd like to see 100 Star Destroyers do that.

  • One can do that in under 15 minutes. Oh, and those were Cyclonic Torpedoes, NOT lances or weapons batteries. Stupid Imperium, use standard weaponry you fucks!

  • Under 15 mins? Even the non canon EU says it takes at least an hour.

  • ICS canon > all other EU canon. ICS says a 30 year old transport ship can do it in UNDER an hour.

  • @billyboyjennings First of all, the EU is canon, whether you like it or not.

And secondly, the shortest time frame for a Base Delta Zero is fifteen minutes, conducted by a fleet of Strike-cruisers and Old Republic dreadnaught-class cruisers. So in other words, not even a star destroyer was required.

  • Not according to Lucas.

Ok...so in the EU, a single Star Destroyer can maybe do it in an hour and a fleet of cruisers can do it in 15 mins.

  • @billyboyjennings

1)bzzzt Wrong. Lucas has stated the EU is a part of the SW universe, and on more than one occasion. Further, others at Lucasfilm have also divulged similar statements.

2)A lower limit has never been applied saying what the lower time limit for an ISD is. More than likely it will take at least an hour, but nevertheless there are other examples claiming otherwise.

  • what ever his name is i prefer commander Ores'ka

  • ahhhhhhhhhhh the exterminautus

  • sorry, i would like to call the person who uploaded this video a tit. it is not a crappy game, for an old PS2 game these graphics are great, and the gameplay was awesome fun, ok it wasnt very faithful to the dice game, firewarriours taking on deamon princes and dreadnoughts, but it was a fun game to play and was one of the first FPS i ever played. so dont call it crappy....... :)

  • well no game is fair to the dice game - besides he have 2 be this tuff since he is a hero :)

  • very true, :)

besides, i love the idea of a single tau firewarrior the underdog of the warhammer world, (as far as toughness is concerned) taking on deamons and dreadnoughts, it fills me with a huge sense of pride....lols.... as i collect tau, hehe

  • Im not that much into dice game - would love 2 try it but have no friends i could play with and a terrible painter (as well as short on cash) - i only wish Tau had been focused on in DoW 2, cuz they would fit in so well

  • it was crappy deal with it, it was nothing new, the graphics were dated for tthe time and the game mechanics half arsed. the only good thing about the game was the voice actors. i think its fairly universal among veteran gamers that this game sucked, thats not to say your wrong in liking it, just your wrong in saying its not crappy :P

  • thats what'cha get when you mess with mankind's plans...

  • @TheMostSlyFox actually, thats what you get for worshipping chaos.

  • @TheMostSlyFox Hell yeah! We carpet nuke one of there own planets colonies-

    -wait?

  • What planet are they blowing up?!

  • Dolumar IV

  • ís that a Tau world or imperial world?

  • Imperial

  • @uBrosis a forge world to be exact. they had to kill it.

  • does it even matter ?

  • Avete IMPERATOR

  • Might I ask, what is this? I've never really gotten in to the Warhammer world that much and would really love to start, so know what this is would be nice....

  • Basically, when the Empire deems a world too corrupt to be retaken, they purge all life from the planet. Or in rare cases, they blow the planet to pieces. There are never survivors.

  • Which is the warp that spreads chaos, correct?

  • ithe the game fire warrior

  • you know the fire warrior that you control names O`Kais, so it`s Shas o`Kais from dark Crusade

  • not necessarily, Kais is a rather common Tau name.

  • but it says that in wikipedia

  • wikipedia! "A free dictionary that anyone can EDIT"

  • and is regularly maintained.

  • Maintained by who?

  • whoever isn't an idiot and restores proper articles to the original state when tampered with. (such as me)

  • What if the article was originally incorrect and had been corrected by some knowledgable person, if you revert it to its original state, you could be erasing valid entries.

For example, if someone messed up on the Strangelet article, and a physicist viewed and corrected it, how would you go about deciding whether or not the edit was valid?

  • ...uhhh. let's just hope there are more knowledgable people, kay?

  • @uBrosis Isn't it actually a rank?

  • @BephirArsland , yeah, actually that is a different Kais. according to the fluff this Kais actually went crazy after this and was sent to be re educated

  • so... the tau fire warrior didn't kill the former SM captain that has now turned chaos? i like to know why he didn't... did chaos and tau work together for a moment or something like that?

  • The SM Captain never turned to chaos.

  • teleport? THat must be expensive as hell!

  • Wow so was that a tau victory :D? love the tau... but what planet was this and why was it getting destroyed, and who was destryoing it lol

  • Well they where there to rescue the ethereal and that did not go so well so I would say it was a loss :P

The planet is called Dolumar IV and it was destroyed to prevent the taint of chaos from spreading and I guess it's ultramarines who are doing it as the ships are mostly SM ships.

  • EPIC Battlebarges and Strike cruisers! someone needs to make a BFG game!

  • WEWT Tau ftw

  • what kind of WARHEADS are those stuff!!!!!!!

  • There are actually more methods to Exterminatus. Cyclonic torpedoes are shown here. There are also special Cyclonic torpedoes to blow up the planet Death-star like. And There are the good old Virus bombs that the Vong ripped off and used on Ithor. Yes, that was the Life Eater.

Also, the AVERAGE Imperium cruisers can go Exterminatus.

Don't forget Nova cannons, which are little Centerpoint Stations themselves.

Oh and the World Engine. A canonical battle where SM destroyed a necron Death Star.

  • Base Delta Zero and Exterminatus are actually on par with each other. Both have been known to melt the crust of a planet in a short amount of time and vaporize a planet's oceans. If you have some proof to indicate otherwise, please feel free to post it instead of simply claiming it and expecting us to accept it for fact.

  • Well, in KotOR Taris getting glasses didn't look all that impressive, but that might be because it's older. And doing my math I figured out lances do 300 TT.

  • I have never played KOTOR, but I can tell you right now that games rate very lowly on the canonical hierarchy of Star Wars. The best sources for the awesome carnage of which a BDZ is capaple would be the AOTC &ROTS ICS, which both credit the ability of even a troop transport to reduce the surface of an Earth-like world to molten slag within a one-hour time frame. The official literature which supersedes the games also support such a capability. And yes, 40K warships can do the exact same thing.

  • Don't ISD reactors have a maximum of 1.88 petatons? Lances and weapons batteries do have to do hundreds of TT for the ending to make sense, I assume that Exterminatus is slightly better but not every ship in the IoM can well... do it with their basic weapons, they have to bring Exterminatus weapons to do it. Plus that whole industrial advantage that the GE have might also help.

  • 1.88 petatons, hardly. The massive turbolasers on the Separatist cruisers which appeared in ROTS alone have a firepower equivalent to ~~ 10 petatons, and we know that reactor of the ISD is larger than that of the Separatist ships, which means that they can produce more power. In short, the reactor output of an ISD from what I have read is 1e25 w, well into petatons, which means that since an ISD can channel its total reactor power into its main weapons, ISD broadsides are petaton as well.

  • Well, actually in the movies they never stated BDZ, that's why in the Old Trilogy they had no power scourging abilities let alone planet busting abilities, so they created one capable of doing it in 19 years. See, 95% of people don't know about EU and they just assume that the DS is the ultimate weapon, one said that it can take on the Dalek super weapon, but anyway, batteries can do 300 TT each shot, and the Emperor has 16 batteries, which comes to a total of 4.8 PT per barrage (1.7 seconds)

  • Actually, I fear there is a flaw in your logic. Lack of mention does not imply lack of ability. That is, just because the term 'BDZ' was not once mentioned in the movies, it does not go to say that BDZ is not considered canon by Lucasfilm. The fact is that both BDZ and Exterminatus are not capable of blowing apart a planet like the DS is. The DS's presence is necessary in SW, because both the Republic and Empire possess planetary shields which make BDZ a non-factor to be employed on a rival.

  • 10 PT seems very high because of this:

    Power output Peak: ~7,73 × 1024 W

    7.73E+24

    ----------- = 1.85E+09 = 1.84 petatons.

    4.18E+15

    Done by ISD I

  • They are correct, as a matter of fact. In the ROTS: ICS, the HTL of a Separatist cruiser is stated to be able to blast a 1.000 km ice moon into pure vapor. The firepower required to do that would by necessity be 10 petatons of TNT. Consider also that a single hyperspace jump by an ISD mark II consumes 1e25 watts, or ~ 2.4 petatons. That isn't even full reactor power for an ISD, just a hyperspace jump.

  • Well, Lucas would have probably made them bomb Hoth after the Falcon and Vader left, that would have been a good idea, actually, the IoM can make a DS weapon, only they have limited resources and limited speed so they can't make it within a average period, but they do have some powerful technology from STC's even though 99% of them corrupted. Well, I believe Lucas never himself thought up of BDZ, I suppose EU wanted it, but Lucas says his version of SW is different from EU, so it depends....

  • Wait! They could only do 66 PT every 45 minutes. Oh and Venators did this:

    1 megaton = 4.18E15

VSD reactor output funneled through guns = 3.6E24

    3.6E24

-------- = 860,420,650.1 megatons = 860 teratons per shot from full reactor power.

    4.18E15

  • Strolling through Wookiepedia I found something, it said that an ISD-II had a reactor power of 9.28e+24 watts or 2.218 PT.

  • we are not discussing star wars here....

  • Oh and the ones from the Old Trilogy couldn't do hundreds of GT.

  • Actually, there is nothing in the Old Trilogy which indicates that ISDs cannot produce GTs, simply for the fact that never had we seen turbolasers being used in action. In fact, based off General Dodonna's quote that the DS's firepower is equal to or roughly greater than half the Imperial starfleet, we can then determine that turbolasers are teraton-scale weapons.

  • Originally, they Han Solo stated that destroying a planet would take more FP then the entire GE fleet, but remember, he said destroy without including the FTL speeds the remains went. While he is a smuggler, the Old Trilogy is a bigger source of canon than the EU (the New Hope one is also equal to the OT).

  • Keep in mind however that even though Han Solo said this in a movie, namely the highest form of canon there is, he is in fact unknowledgible on many matters. He is only a smuggler on not much more. If he are to take his word, we would have to assume that a moon-sized battlestation is impossible and that the Imperial Fleet consists of less than one thousand ships in order to patrol a galaxy larger than our own Milky Way. In both of these matters, Han is wrong and thus unreliable for info.

  • on what verse you're talking about, and in a debate between space and that batteries do 300+ TT each, which means the EBS does 4.8 PT+ per second, and the 20 year old Separatist cruiser is apparently stronger than a Venator, even though it I assume it can do 66 PT in a time period of 10 minutes or more. And I assumed a ISD II can do 2.4 PT per second. And shouldn't we be doing Fel Empire vs current age of the IoM?

  • Hold up! Did he say in the OT or the novels?

  • Is Kais the firewarrior a young Shas'o Kais?

  • Maybe... but probobly not.

Kais is a rather common Fire caste name.

  • oh well, but would have been cool though

  • Holy shit the imperial space ships destroyed the planet in a matter of seconds

  • i dun even think the huntreds of cultist can hurt the GK their better than SMs 10 GK can rape 1k of those guys whithout getting a scratch on their armor

  • Whats the story here in this movie? Is it Holy Terra that is being bombed?

  • The planet is called Dolumar IV and is the planet which most of the missions in the game takes place and they blow it up becouse chaos has infested it.

  • dude Terra never got bombed.... cept maybe once. Read moar

  • haha

Ultra-smerf: good bye fire warriors *whisper* "i love you"

  • there was alot wrong with the game. for me it was the bland level design

  • And DAoT Imperium has technology that is probably on par with Eldar technology. Good luck fighting any age of the Imperium that didn't happen after the Horus Heresy. Yep, the Primarchs solo.

  • naaaa the tech of the eldar surpases all but the imperiam are the next in line well with the orks that is

  • Comment removed

  • there not that advanced everything they have the eldar have and better except for the special armor but tbh your just looking for an e fight and im not in the mood to provide 1

  • Comment removed

  • they dont have better speed or vehicles at all look at an eldar jetbike that thing can fly circles around it

and when it comes to guns look to the tau who can kill nearly everything with 1 shot and try not to swear so much when your trying to make a point

it just helps me prove to every 1 else how pigheaded and arrogant you really are

  • Comment removed

  • you truly are an arrogant wanker

well you now wat you should really just go play in traffic since nothing gets throught to you
