i was sad they got rid of the celica personally, at least it had style and flare. Ive never liked the TC's style at all, not enough smooth curves of a sports car in my own opinion. Did watch to see what they thought of it though. Rather buy a Civic Si over this just for style alone!

Scions have the best resale value in its class due to the fact that every new Scion sells at full MSRP price. There are never any rebates or special pricing. One or two year old tC's retain over 80% of it's value. So basically if you want something new that keeps its value and has decent performance nothing beats the tC for the price.

My car is gutted as well, and has Corbeau Race seats that I am partially sponsored for (i.e. not completely free, but discounted), as well as harnesses. Plan to replace the all glass roof with either CF or aluminum. This will save an additional 40lbs from the top of the car. Also still have to replace the hatch with a CF hatch. Calling my car Rice, won't make it slower than what you drive, so have fun with that.

i own a tc and its an awesome car and surprisingly quick for 160 hp and i think 161 torque.  Will holds its own against civic si for awhile to once into higher gears civic evantually catches up

This didn't have steering mounted audio controls.

Get an 08 & up. Those had steering mounted controls, ipod control, standard side curtain airbags and a factory subwoofer (won't rattle the fillings off your teeth, but decent for someone who doesn't want to go deaf).

If you could, get the RS series. The Alcantara seats are SOOOOOOOOO COOL. Don't get the RS1, they have regular seat fabric.

really? clutch seems plenty soft to me. I actually wish the throttle and clutch were a little bit stiffer. my right leg gets tired holding speed since it gives almost no resistance. if the clutch were any softer I don't think I'd feel it through my boots. maybe the one you drove had a weird spring?
