My parents told me that in the 70's ALL girls were required to wear skirts/dresses to school. Makes me wish, I'd been around in the 70's, I love girls in skirts, especially short ones! LOL

@pytko3 When I was in school back in the '70s, the cheerleaders were REQUIRED to wear their cheerleader uniforms (skirts and all) to school on game days. No big deal since they wanted to, anyway. Now cheerleaders are not even allowed to wear their skirts in class anymore! Back in the day, the cheerleaders always wore their skirts to the games no matter how cold it was! I still remember my favorite cheerleader out there with her short skirt almost covered up by her letter sweater!

@firepoint525 It was the same at my school in the 80s. The cheerleaders plus the spirit squad, which had similarly short uniforms, wore them all day on Fridays for the pep rally. Yeah, it was pretty cool deal then with all those lovely girls in their cute outfits. I wonder why they aren't allowed to wear their uniforms today? But then again the new ones look so crappy who would want to.

@firepoint525 You know I graduated from high school in 1999 and at my school the cheerleaders still wore their uniforms. The disappointment was some of them wore the sweat pants underneath the skirts(mostly if it was cold) but others just enjoyed showing off their legs. There were some guys in the school though, who would sneak up behind them and lift their skirts up or grab their legs. Some girls liked it but most didn't. That could be one reason why girls don't wear them because of dirty boys.
