Pessimistic? Well, yes, if you prefer pink glasses to rosie up reality and facts you will have to stick with the current majority of Americans. Party on until the lights go out! Then you will find out who is fun to be with - those who looked and seriously prepared themselves or those who looked away and were tons of fun to be with.

I'm just sick of people complaining about civilization's "current state" and then giving vague or abstract solutions to problems, if at all. Pretty prose can only do so much when one's points meander and do full circles.

Said when people choose to bury their head in the ground when facts are presented. Instead of looking at him as being pessimistic why not take what he has said and figure out ways to apply what he has said to your life so you can be better prepared for whats coming. I for one got out of the burbs and moved to the urban core of my city and wherever I move after this will be to another urban core.
