Kirsten is good in this scene too because Harry set Mary Jane up to do this so its okay if she is pretending to cry because deep down inside she does not want to break up with Peter.

Anyone who loses somebody they've cared about for a long time is going to cry. That's just in nature. Spider-Man is supposed to be the everyman like us, not a hardboiled darker hero like Batman, Punisher, and Wolverine (and even they sometimes have their moments)
