Does this really work your traps, because when I do this exercise, the next day I am always sore in my shoulders and never sore in my traps...........
nice upper part of your back...nice shapes...but low size...ypou need to make your back bigger like an airport and tzhen make a shape...will be better...hope you understand my bad english
What a minute, your right, you have the straps on but did not wrap them on the bar. Straps are the red things on your wrists that help with holding heavy bars, etc. so your grip does not give out.
Yes, narrow for traps, wide for delts. Nice work!!
i have the same problem when using heavy weights on this exercise. try using wrist straps. it will allow your hands to move a bit more while gripping the bar, instead of them being locked into the same position against the bar through the whole movement.

Should be using the curved bar. Straight olympic bar will put too much stress on the wrists.

@mutsnuts1989 True that.

@Musk1e almost feel sorry for you there, putting down all that work to get the text done and wirrten the proper way, and you misspell the beginning

Drop the straps and see how much harder they are!!!

Musk1e... He probably wants to focus on the traps only. He can deadlift +600 lbs so no need for excess grip work. I do the same thing.

Agree. The workout focuses more on the forearm when doing this type of exercise if you don't where straps.
And the workout is for the shoulders.
Muskie must have huge forearms and tiny shoulders.

Good form, but lower the weights slower

I prefer EZ bar.
Btw, when I do these, I always feel my tendons in the wrist, rubbing against each other, it's an uncomfortable feeling.

Nice lifting! Is the muscle directly between your shoulder blades in the upper middle back lats or traps? What exercise hits them the hardest?
