What a perfect song for this video...I had forgotten about it. Was he really only 8? How brief a life and yet he brought you so much. These wonderous creatures are the closest thing to perfect love.
What a beautiful way to remember your dog. I wish all people who had these innocent little pets were as good to their animals as you were. I just lost my five year old golden-retriever-Chow mix to a heart defect, and My Pit Bull died four weeks after him she died of old age, they loved each other a lot so we buried them side by side. My kids think I'm nuts because I have a special place behind our shed where over the years my beloved pets are at rest,and I still feel like they are home.
when my dogs die i get them cremated, and i put them all together on a shelf. i feel like they are at home. sometimes i honestly do lay with it. i remember the pain driving home with the jar on my lap..
I know what you mean I drove home one year ago with my fourteen year old cat that I had just put down because he was so sick. I couldn't quit crying and I buried him myself I had him in the front seat on the way home he looked like he was just sleeping, and he was so soft and warm I remember thinking how it isn't fair that we have to let our pets go before we are ready to say that final good-bye. I still have five cats but they are not Sage.
Oh god...that was so beautiful and sad...jasper got so white as she got older...can tell just by looking jasper was a wonderful loving creature..so sorry...lost my own old girl this year...so very hard...
