Scientists are just going on evidence that has been found. The same with creationism. It cannot be proved, you are just going on the evidence you have. Scientists can make errors, religious text translators can make errors.
This argument will get nowhere, both sides have no solid explanation. The origin of life is still unknown. You're both just frustrated with each other because of this. The "big bang" is just a theory, even scientists don't know exactly how it all started, however, you yourself, Mr.Religious, have never witnessed an act of "god", have you? -No, you haven't. What's the difference between cosmology and astrology then? Biologiclly, plants are living because of their cell structure. But Biblically, if we look in the bible, plants are not living. God breathed the breath of life into man and animals, not plants. God also spoke the light into existance, he made the stars and planets and cosmos. He made science. I was reading in the Bible and have discovered why so many people do not beleive. In Romans it states that God has hardend most of society's hearts and has made them unable to see the truth with their eyes or hear the truth with their ears. But some, his chosen people, can.(Me) He will harden whoever's heart he wants, for however long he wants. Aren't I greatful that he has chosen me. I've recently been back from New York City, and the buildings there are just amaizing. So High they touch the sky! If we look in the Bible it tells us how God made the world in six days. No evolution or big bang. So either way, both religions can't co-exist with the other.
If you don't believe me yet, the big bang theory and creation are very, very different and oppose each other on many different things. The Big Bang Theory tells us that stars and planets formed, our solar system, then a life sustaining earth formed. Space->Earth. But in the Bible it says God made the Earth THEN hung the stars. Earth-> Space. The Big Bang makes the universe in billions of years where as God makes it in just 6 days.
According to the evolution of a life sustaining earth, the earth was much like the moon and there were hot pools of bubbling lava. But in the Bible it says, "the spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters." (Genesis 1:2) Evolutionists believe that the Grand Canyon was formed by the Colorado River(Even though rivers don't travel up hill), where as creationists believe that the flood of Noah formed the grand canyon in a short time.
Big Bang: Billions of years, Space -> Earth, lava, Colorado river.
God: 6 days, Earth -> Space, water, great flood.
So as you can see, neither one of these theories agrees with the other. They cannot co-exist and the reason why most people think that is because they do not know what to think because of all the controversy, they just put them both together so they can be lazy and don't have to think. We were either created, or we evolved. There is no, 'in-between'.

If all God wanted was for people to believe he existed, then he would make himself appear before us, and speak and come in real flesh. From what I have read you have either a very primitive understanding of these theories or are completely misinformed altogether. It is understandable that someone would decide to disbelieve theories that are complex and difficult to understand, which is why I suggest you try to fully learn exactly what these theories consist of.
In science a theory isn't a theory as in 'I'm guessing it's this...'. In science a theory is the most accepted and believe hypothesis, i.e the closest thing we have to being correct, until new evidence suggests otherwise.
Just because the bible is old, doesn't mean it is correct. If anything, it makes it even more likely to incorrect, as time has more time to distort the truth (if any was present at the start).

@BingoGIggleGoober You are confusing the Big Bang theory with the theory of Evolution. Also, there is plenty of reason to believe that elements are capable of changing into new elements. For example, our sun is made up of trillions upon trillions of atoms of Hydrogen. The sun essentially forces these atoms together creating Helium while also releasing large chunks of energy. Every single element can be created this way by using a nuclear reaction to force already existing elements together.
To answer it all. Science says that Earth is 4.3 billion years old and has around 5.6 billion years left. All other facts are of religious proposes on what you believe of. Do not make this video a case of what you think is correct.

What's the difference between cosmology and astrology then? Biologiclly, plants are living because of their cell structure. But Biblically, if we look in the bible, plants are not living. I was reading in the Bible and have discovered why so many people do not beleive. In Romans it states that God has hardend most of society's hearts and has made them unable to see the truth with their eyes or hear the truth with their ears. Answer: They both cancel each other out. The big bang theory is a theory, not even a theory, a model for how the universe exists WITHOUT the help of God or gods. If you don't believe me yet, the big bang theory and creation are very, very different and oppose each other on many different things. The Big Bang Theory tells us that stars and planets formed, our solar system, then a life sustaining earth formed. Space->Earth. But in the Bible it says God made the Earth THEN hung the stars. Earth-> Space. The Big Bang makes the universe in billions of years where as God makes it in just 6 days.

According to the evolution of a life sustaining earth, the earth was much like the moon and there were hot pools of bubbling lava. But in the Bible it says, "the spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters." (Genesis 1:2) Evolutionists believe that the Grand Canyon was formed by the Colorado River(Even though rivers don't travel up hill), where as creationists believe that the flood of Noah formed the grand canyon in a short time.

So as you can see, neither one of these theories agrees with the other. They cannot co-exist and the reason why most people think that is because they do not know what to think because of all the controversy, they just put them both together so they can be lazy and don't have to think. We were either created, or we evolved. There is no, 'in-between'.

Have all of you seen the movie, "Horton Hears a Who?" In that movie the sour kangaroo explains to Horton, "If you can't see it, hear it, or feel it, it doesn't exist." She told Horton he was wrong, and there are no poeple on the speck of dust. In science a theory isn't a theory as in 'I'm guessing it's this...'. In science a theory is the most accepted and believe hypothesis, i.e the closest thing we have to being correct, until new evidence suggests otherwise.
Just because the bible is old, doesn't mean it is correct. If anything, it makes it even more likely to incorrect, as time has more time to distort the truth (if any was present at the start).

For example, our sun is made up of trillions upon trillions of atoms of Hydrogen. The sun essentially forces these atoms together creating Helium while also releasing large chunks of energy. Every single element can be created this way by using a nuclear reaction to force already existing elements together.
