Thanks Ibycus. Your tutorials helped when I first purchased my GPS in 2009 to load your maps into MapSource. Now that I'm upgrading/moving between computers your tutorials are just as useful. Although I own a copy of MapSource I couldn't find it and tried your training center suggestion. The latest MapSource update did not recognize it as a valid install. It's still possible just not as easy.
hello there just wondering how to make back up file of topo maps without redownloading them they are in mapsource but i canot find the files anywhere on my comp.
ok here is a good question. when you say switch over to my maps. i dont even know how to put your maps on here. Please awnser my question asap because we plan on going on a family trip to canada and we need these maps. anyway i just need to know how to switch to your maps. when i try to open the ibicus topo21 file it is blank and shows that there is nothing inside it. I know i downloaded it right and followed all instructions. please tell me!!!!
and when i click open file (i think thats wat im spose to do?) and i go to ibycustopo21 it is blank inside the file. but when i go to my computer and go to ibycus top21 it has all sorts of things inside it! maybe it is because it is password protected???
possibly give me the pass? or do i need it??

Did you go through the instructions in these videos? You shouldn't need mapsettoolkit unless something goes wrong, or you want to remove the maps.
Once you've run the setup.exe program, the maps should install themselves in to mapsource. You can select them from the drop down list in the top left hand corner (there is no password on the files)

Is there a way that Ibycus maps can be used with an Garmin eTrex Summit? It says it is not supported, but perhaps someone has found a workaround...

At what point did what you could do diverge from what is in the video?
Also, make sure you are unzipping with something other than WinRAR. WinRAR doesn't like this file for some reason

i did not use winrar so that is not the problem
