Yes, Chris is using the piano sustain pedal during that first section of playing. The sustain pedal causes the notes he plays to continue to ring out, even after he releases the keys. Please contact me with any other questions or concerns.

Yes, you can connect a single sustain pedal to the Electro 3. You can also connect a volume/expression pedal and a single footswitch (to control rotary speaker speed). Feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.

is there a 88 key equivalent? im looking for a versatile keyboard in the price range of the SV-1 88 keys but the SV-1 is too limited for me (i want to do Classical , Rock/Blues and Electronic music)

Sorry, Nord does not produce an 88 key version of the electro. The next best thing would be a Nord Piano, although you'd lose the organ section. Or, for considerably more money you could step up the the Nord Stage 88 EX. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.

Hello: I'd like to know if the electro 3 has any lead synth sound. It looks like the hammond and piano sounds are great, but I also need some synth sounds to play them live. Thank you in advance for you answer!

Thanks for your interest in Kraft Music and the Nord Electro 3. The Nord Electro 3 focuses on acoustic piano, electric piano, and organ sounds and does not have a synth section. You may want to look at the Nord Stage. Thanks again!

@obras You can play synth samples on the E3, but it doesn't offer any controll over the sound. So if that isn't a problem you could use a synth sample for your leads, but if you want to be able to alter the sound in any way you'll have to use another keyboard for that.

@obras look at some of the discontinued nord products, they have some sick syth stuff man, combine it with a moogerfooger and boom your kickin back plus its cheep too, Craigslist/eBay :P, and producing some sick tracks, i have a question about this keyboard as well, is the Hammond Tone-wheel system from the C1 or the C2, and... i was wondering if they are movable like on the Hammond kx3c

@obras Is does have synth sounds. But they're just presets, maybe 5 pads and 5 leads. And you can't edit them. But it is still something.

HEY Chris!!First I want to say BRAVO for your playing and the serious way you demonstrate keyboards;I own a 73 nord stage "revision c" and I would like to know if the organ sound engine is different on the new EX series and closer to the real thing;if not ,is it possible to download some update?

I 've also an old 122 Leslie and I would like to connect my Nord with it,but the only possibility I know is buying a Trek 2 combo pedal (expensive!)

Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed this demo video. We were actually running the Electro 3 directly into our Sony HD camcorder, so the sound you hear is the direct output of the Nord.
