Jesus82

  • like it ... promote it on my website:

    C-SALSA . COM

  • Is this necessary? We're talking about timba, salsa, son, whatever you call it. Political dimension is complex, dance is escape and expression. Timba is a social movement, it reflects the period especial more than anything in my oppinion.

  • You can take a dancer out of Cuba, but you can't take Cuba out of a dancer...

  • Primero aprende a hablar espanol.

  • My favorite part is" Advance Timba". The female dancer is one of best female dancers I have ever seen live or on vedio. I love the way she extend her body and arms through the music. Rumba is good too. Turn patterns look kind boring.

  • hulagirl's right, it's whatever you dig. I know lots of really good NY, LA and PR style guys that changed to cuban; maybe not to compete at high levels, but for the music, for the improv, for the fun, etc. Cuban is less individualistic show stuff, fewer "rules" and more crossover with hip hop, timba, rumba, etc. Asi me gusta, ya tu sabes...

  • it is all a matter of personality and what you feel comfortable doing. I personally don't like the flashiness of LA style, I'm not big on New York style either. Cuban style best suits my personality and allows me to fully express myself. I feel more free when dancing cuban style, but can dance just about any style. dancing is all about interpreting the music the way you want to but based on some basic foundations.

  • I dissagree with term 'fakey american styles'. I talked to Victor Perez from Hacha y Machete (one of the best NY style groups) and he showed me how he danced before. I was a regular cuban looking cuban stuff. I danced cuban first, now I love NY. Supermario, Mascarell, Neeraj... actually lot of 'la linea' techers took cuban first and changed. reason? To develop. Honestly, these people know more affro-carribean stuff then 95% of cuban style teachers in my town.

  • Yeah, you can´t compare the cuban style with that American "Salsa en línea" thing. This is real dancing!

  • Really enjoyed the clips, especially the Rumba.

  • best figures ever seen..

  • Tis stuff kicks the sheit outta any of the fakey american styles.

    viva!

  • Muchos gracias for sharing Juan Is da Mother F***ING MAN!
