The similarities are somewhat obvious to me - there are sounds in djudeo-espagnole and certain idiosyncrasies in the grammar that remind me of French. If I were a native French speaker (of which I'm not) and if I were to learn Spanish, it would probably sound more like this. This would be even more the case if I were a native French speaker in Québec or l'Acadie. I can understand much of what he's singing, anyway.

@3rdSamurai Actually many still speak Judeo-Arabic. And Ladino is many understood by Cubans, and Puerto Ricans since their spanish is highly influenced by Ladino, and Ladino is very good language to learn since it is very close and older than modern classical Spanish.

It needs to be spoken more and more but modern communities have turkish, greek and arabic influences...so we can speak about modern ladino and old ladino kept in books in spanish libraries. i call for unification in order to get a purest and universal version...
