@Jake333555 I agree - throughout the series though, he's always treated with respect and is always protected, as I can remember.

But in a story-perspective he should've been more admired for his efforts, skills, and knowledge. His budds takes his awesomness for granted, sort of.

One thing I'm thinking of is that he probably is treated in accordance with Japanese cultural practices since the show was entirely made there.

Well.. this is interesting yet complicated :P
