  • 32 dislikes because those are the one who cannot play an instrument. I give you many thumbs up! Wonderful playing.

  • Nice job, Hannah! :-) Where was this recorded?

  • hmmmmmmm......

  • But could she already read & play music before she started the organ?

  • Hello I am 15 years old and I also play the organ, hanna compliment. if you like we can know, ok?

  • Play something by Robert Hebble!

  • Finale - by Janet Correll

GREAT JOB! Keep practicing and you will be amazing!

  • she did good playing but the low notes sounds like a really big fart

  • This is wonderful display by Hanna

  • Easy and boring.

  • 26 morons spotted...

  • this is very good. i cant play . however i had a mother who did and an aunt who did extremmely well. . i hope you keep going with this not only will it be great to hear but you will be smarter and live longer

  • Superb! Fantastic!!

  • beautiful.... ive bin playing the organ for about 10 years noww and i have to say u sound greats!

  • Wow please tell your Daughter that playing the Organ is an amazing thing! And she obviously knows how to play it to! I hope that it becomes engrained as a passion for her.

  • It's great to see another younger person playing the organ! I am 15, and I am the only one in my church besides the music director that plays organ in services. Keep it up!

  • Way to go, young lady! Keep up the good work!

  • Wouldn't it be neat to imagine Fox or Biggs over her shoulder guiding her?

  • Very nice organ played most proficiently. Well done - and good luck for the future, which I am sure will be great if you keep playing. I enjoyed this video very much. Let's hear more from you.

  • Very nice. However, it is easier to move around on the organ in slacks or a back of the knee skirt. Skin kinda sticks to the bench, been there. LOL Great work!

  • I'm curious about who built the organ and where it is. Nice work. Keep it up! LOTS of churches are looking for organists these days. Ask me how I know. . .

  • Wow... I'm 13 and I can hardly do this. (most likely because I don't take lessons)

  • Vive la music...

  • At present there are less than 230 organ majors at all the colleges and universities in the USA. If you should decide to major in organ one day, you can just about select your position and almost write your own paycheck. If organ is your passion, go for it.

  • Wow. Beautifully played. Keep it up and I wish you all the best.

My son Allen is 7 years old he is the one playing the Star Spangled Banner. My older son Benjamin is 15 now. He is the organist of the small church for 4 years now where we worship on Sundays. You can see him playing the organ in "supersunilraja" channel in You Tube. You may like it.

  • Try to learn toccata and fugue without notes >=D like i did and im to 13 year old

  • good :]

  • 13 ans il n'y a rien d'extra c'est bien sans plus .... elle est bien partie ! souhaitons lui bonne chance !!

  • She plays very exactly and good, but also very slowly. I've heard this piece before, played by a friend, who played this very fast, and in my mind it sounds better if it is played fast.

  • 34Bach - a real musician doesn't need to brag. In fact, many people will think that you are insecure if you brag on yourself. Be a painter of tone, a gateway through which sensitive, real music passes, and a servant of God. Humility is a thing to be learned for some people, however. Once you see those who are as good or better than you, you may begin to understand what it really means to be a musician. Encourage others and give your heart to your music.

  • maybe this organ has a bass coupler

  • That was really wonderful, Hannah! What model of organ were you playing? Looks like a Rodgers or Allen. Keep up the good work and thanks for posting!

  • Cocky arrogant, but still impressive, i can play all those also but im 15.

remember you shouldn't post things like this up on the internet you will get torrents of abuse.

  • How sad it is that after playing so much Bach you have learned none of his humility.

  • I learned humility! Such laymen like this girl you realize who is better!

  • Ich bin der Champion nd Johann Sebastian Bach!!!Unvergesslich für immer!

  • WOW!!!, you are quite an amazing young lady and, with only 1 year of practice, you have done incredibly well. Your mum is, surely very proud of you and you certainly deserve all opportunities you get to play that wonderful "king of Instruments".

Just one request- could other videos you post show us close ups of your footwork on the pedals?, I would love to see that part of your playing and also, if you can play with open toed sandals that would be great!!!

  • Very good next up pedals :) those are hard to start but worse is getting both feet to play pedals at one time i've played for 3 years but just started pedals and they are pretty easy when u get used to them and practice

  • WONDERFUL!!!!!! Loved the song ....can you please tell me the name of it? You did a great job hon!!! Keep practicing! Then you can become a member of the American Organist Guild like me! :)

  • wow your really good

  • You did greatly!

  • BRAVO young lady!! BRAVO!

  • Wonderful job, Hannah!

  • I am lucky enough to be starting lessons on a 4 manual Hellmuth Wolff organ, i havent started but i hope to in the months to come

  • Did she take piano lessons before?

  • You are amanzing girl...I started playing the organ at your age, and today , i have 44 years old, and I still play the organ...

  • Keep playing!!!

  • I'm a 17 and an organ student too and played this about 2 years ago for a church service too! lol

  • And just a quick comment (I know this is a waste but...) she never used the Swell manual, only the Great and some Pedal. And I agree with Polsterj, there just wasn't enough bass. But as I said before, it was very good!

  • Oh my, aboslutly wonderful! I am just about where she is in this video. I am 13, I play piano (and taught myself from taht organ) I have an organ at home, have played at church, but I doubt I have the same amount of skill she has. Then again, I have a 1-octave organ and not nearly as many stops as this has. But even still, all I have to say is this is wonderful and I have something to comapre it to so I know what it is like!

  • Brilliant Playing Well Done!!!! More to come I hope.

  • Bravo!!

I wish I could have played that well at 13!

  • I am an African American Gospel Music organist and I must say this was wonderful... Keep up the good work!

  • Thanks so much. This is my daughter playing and I am very proud of her. I will post another video of her playing soon. I appreciate the encouragement

  • wow...your a wonderful mom...my mom tries to disown me from playing the organ...im the only musical guy in our family...

  • that is awsome!

  • You should try playing some Christmas music sometime, that'd be awesome, keep up the good work....

  • she is good for 13 years old keep up the good work

  • I thought she did a very good job, definitely considering she's only played for a year

  • haha i started playing pipe organ when i was 6 or 7

  • Whoopy doo...let's hear you!

  • Wow, you did a great job. I would be glad to here you in 10 years! May be you are a superstar with the hammond organ!!

    Greatings from Germany, André

  • I'm 15, but I'm more of an organ designer than a player. But still, GREAT JOB!!! If my school's 7-manual monster is ever built, PLEASE drop by and play it!

  • VERY WELL DONE HANNAH SWEETHEART!!!! Im 42, and wish I knew how play the pipe organ~ Thank you and I wish you the best!

  • Well done! We would like to encourage all the young organists who we see commenting here to come and play on the organ at Hammerwood Park if ever you come to England!

  • This is so wonderful to see young kids interested in playing the organ. It really is a cool thing to do, especially because you're praising God! The first time I sat at the console of the organ at my home parish, I was there for four hours before I realized it and started playing for weekday Masses only two months later. Keep it up, Hannah - the rewards are unreal.

  • You play well at such a young age.

The organ has TOE STUDS! Wow.

  • Hi my name is Don VerKuilen.. i am 14 and i am a concert organist myslef... i am and active member of the a.g.o. I really like your piece i remember playing that same one along time ago. I am now a composer i have done 3 organ symphoies.. if you would like i can send you the scores to try and play... i would love to talk to you and to get to know you ... because you dont fine to many organists you can have as friends at our age .lol

  • I think we have a future church orgainist in the works here. Possibly the next Diane Bish.

  • nice comment ;-)

  • I'm 14 too but I play Widor, Tournemire, Vierne, Gigout, Reger, Prokofieff and so on. In 2006 I played at the noon prayer in the cologne cathedral. The organ has 139 speaking stopps. The have an 64'-stop. It's the "Vox balaena 64'. Also they have high pressure stops: The "Tuba episcopalis 8'" and the "Tuba capitularis 8'". This organ is the greatest organ in the world !!!

  • I´m 15 and I come from Austria. I think too that the organ at cologne Cathedral is one of the greatest instruments i ever heard. I´m working on Duprés Variations sur Noel at the moment, quite difficult piece but great! Moreover I play Vierne´s sixth symphony (great piece!) I´m organist at a church where the pieces you play during mass are presented on a sheet...a very rare thing in Austria!

  • Ok, the organ in cologne is good, but as with all klais-organs, a deep, rumbling bass is missing (a Contrabombarde 32' would be perfect). The 64' is only acoustic!

  • Hey, I'm 14, I started playing when I'm twelve too. Have you played much Bach? I started out with "Vater Unser un Himmelriech" It's a great piece written in trio, so it's a bit tough. I'm working the G Minor fugue right now. From 0:17-0:49, since the acoustics in the room aren't too much, you can really add some speed there, just make sure it doesn't get muddy. Is that piece in Wayne Leupold's First Organ Book? If so, I think you would like "Galleries Ancien" It's very fanfare-ish. Great Stuff!!

  • Also, keep the videos coming of Hannah playing the Organ, where is this Organ?

  • Its Grate!!

  • A small piece of advice for Hannah from a fellow Organist, NEVER play an interval smaller than an octave in the pedal with the reeds, because the sounds "argue" and it doesn't sound right. Great playing and congratulations to her on the Organ Festival rating.

  • You can play a major 5th to give a resultant effect (imitates a pitch 1 octave lower).

    Never say never!

  • Indeed that is true, but when it is done with reeds, sometimes it sounds awful and you hear a big sort of audio argument between the two reed pipes, with flues it is good because thats the pipes you get resultant stops with, not with reeds. I learnt this from an Organ Builder.

  • On Cavaille-Coll Organs it sounds amazing, and various other builds, but builds like this, with very electronic sounding reeds, it doesn't sounds very nice, but its all a matter of taste I suppose.

  • Ah, a great Fox technique!

  • Better then I was at 13, and cute too; keep up the good work

  • sounds abit buxtehude

  • Bless her shes great, she will get to reach the swell soon, but shes swell, already..

  • who composed this piece ?

  • WHOA! HANNAH! AMAZING GIRLIE!

  • Thanks VALLEE!!!!!!!

  • Beautiful.

what a nice instrument. If it is yours, you are very lucky.

  • Well done! That's Great!

Keep it up and you will soon be playing those Toccata's!:0)

I'm an Organist in London England. Remember to take no notice of those who put you down and keep on rock'in those pipes kid!

    Take care!

  • Very well played!! Don't take any notice of people like Turboknightrider - It is correct to play with shoes and playing without is bad for your technique, and is mainly done by amateurs!

    Keep up the good work!

  • Thanks for sharing. I'm 13 too and I love playing organ.

  • My shoes have high heels so I can reach. I have tried barefoot but am falling off the bench trying to reach the pedals. No I'm the only one who plays organ.

  • I would to see you playing in heels.

  • I would like to see you playing in heels. Sorry for mistake.

  • What is this that she is playing?...it sounds like something that could be well worked with some improvisation.

    Good Job!

  • I am playing a piece called Finale. It is my favorite one to play!

  • Who's the composer?

  • Is there anyway we can get you to play another piece for the organ and post to youtube?

  • @3grlsmum Your daughter could be the next Diane Bish, (a well known woman organist, whom the they call the First Lady of the organ.) She's fantastic!

  • @3grlsmum Who wrote this piece?

  • HANNAH! THAT WAS SO GOOD!

LOL IM TLKIN TO U RIGHT NOW

    <3 Becca

  • so i have 14 and i love playn a pipe organs :D

  • Way to go, Hannah! Nice organ piece that uses simple yet effective pedalwork. Now to aim for that low pedal C! :)

Encore for more Hannah on organ!
