The original song is, I have to admit, not a bad song, nevertheless it's full of comercialism in every single note. But this Gregorian version... it's simply beautiful! - it combines the beauty of the original with the epicness of gregorian chant and eliminates the comercialism. The result is this masterpiece!

@ThePaganSun I can't compare it to other songs of Madonna, so maybe you're right that it's less commercial than other Madonna songs. But still it's too comercial for me. I can't describe it. The original is so... "clean"? Every single note is placed correctly, no place for improvisation... or individualism.

@RimaNari Ah, I see what you meant now. And trust me, her "Frozen" sounds nothing like her usual songs which are more pop and upbeat. It's a very original and emotional song! But I agree that this is a nice and interesting twist. :)

@ThePaganSun Well... I took the time to hear through some of Madonna's songs on YT, and obviously you're right, this song IS remotely pop - for *Madonna*.

But if I compare it to the Gregorian version, for my ears it still is very commercial... But I assume our taste in music is very different, so we won't come to a general conclusion ;)

@RimaNari Yeah, everyone has their own opinion. At least you gave it a listen. I like this one, but Madonna came up with the melody and feel of it so that's why I give her kudos. But this one is nice too!

Gregorian-Frozen? Tedy Frozen-Rozzen? Zmrzlý policajt? Policajt se používá pouze při lovu ryb. Je to slovní archaismus. A vy se rád-a střílíte na chodníku jako Sundance Bill? Měl jsem za to, že Rozen se píše takto, či ne? Mohou nudle v polévce plavat proti proudu? Vy asi sotva, že? Můžou si mimonudle klást nějaké podmínky? Double vrtulníky jsou oblíbené stroje, že? Alespoň dát k vrtulníku přestupní sondu, aby se alepoň někdo zachránil. A co Machiavelli? Cukr a bič? A noir cat?

@impactcyberwarz Women won´t be good singers of the Gregorian Type because this technique depends mostly on the overtones. And obriously, since women have naturally high voices, we can´t hear the overtones very well, if there are overtones at all.
