  • Because many batons you miss him if we all know that nintendo nintendo 64 was a resounding failure, and not mention this project because nintendo sony going to do with the aforementioned "SNES CD" if you never saw the light?

    a negative vote for this

  • @Mindmulus I don't understand what you're attempting to say.

  • @Iwatchtrek never mind...

  • Comment removed

  • Apple Pippin?? lol apples like "we pimpin :)" Nintendo and Sony are like "GTFO R-TARD!!"

  • what do you mean 'wrongly refered to as the PSX"? - that was the code name for it and so people called it that and still do.

yes im aware there is another machine called the psx with hard drive or something.

  • what a beast of a gen this was this was my second favorite gen both the ps1 and n64 were the best here hands down (and theres still a little spot for the saturn here too don't worry) so many great games during this gen and man were they all good i remember fond memories of both these consoles and even to this day i still play both of them 5th gen ftw also ps1 had the best game of the 90's mgs1 straight up p.s. this is also the gen in which my favorite company jumped into gaming sony

  • hay wetr can i downlode the legend of zelda song i like it can you send me a link to it so i can downlode it on my iPOD

  • atari

    RIP

    plz keep makin games

  • Nintendo 64 was definitely my favorite game system of all time, but that's just me

  • what happened to atari now?

  • @1337sparta7331 They are currently making games, they should be coming out with a new Test Drive soon, plus there heard of board members is currently Nolan Bushnell, started in May this year, He was the original head of Atari before universal bought the company around 1979, then they started arguing with Nolan on how the company should be ran and fired him, Just love irony.

  • @ATARI800XLfan agreed

  • nice video liked it i didnt think there other consoles in that time but sega and nintendo and sony

  • in your videos, why didn't you do portables

  • ur music is off? Zelda for saturn? luigis mansion of ps1? wtf.

  • Who Cares about Atari?

  • All in all the fifth generation was just a battle of Nintendo 64 vs Playstation. The other systems were completely overshadowed.

  • @mopbrothers is someone forgetting Dreamcast?

  • dude dreamcast was 6th gen along with ps2, xbox, and gamecube

    it had damn good graphics

it has anti aliasing, and more vram than ps2 plus blur filters, etc etc

so technically its graphically better than ps2 but haven't gotten to show it in much games because not much people developed for it

    dreamcast lasted from 1998(in jap)to 2001(in us)

it even had online play and more!

i think you're thinking of the sega saturn though...

  • @Ramiznfriends Nah I just forgot because I always used to remember playing the N64 then going to my friends house to play Dreamcast

  • yea

    those were the days lol

  • lol I still remember playing Smackdown 2 and Super Smash Bros. with my cousin....

  • omg i have like all the wrestling games on n64 lol

    still play em

hey since we are all grown up go check out conkers bad fur day for n64 lol

    best game evar!!

Still miss the old days though :(

  • yh me too :( - If only I was looking into conkers, but sadly I lost my aerial for my N64 :(

  • well you can always get the xbox version

it has fantastic graphics but the foul language is censored

the only way to disable it is by beating the whole game

    its really tedious

i say if you cant get an n64 then get project 64 and have fun!!!!

    lol

  • saturn was kinda in there but died off too fast for much people to remember

  • Thank you for the quick response. Most of my systems I do show off and play them for about an hour every few days to make sure they still work. The N64 I have had since it first came out and plus it was stored in a relatives basement for a few months while my family was moving then the basement flooded and did not tell me until a few days later I was mad. I have one more question though In your opinion should I get a Jaguar first or A 3DO I noticed they are both about the same price on ebay.

  • nice video. I am the proud owner of a Atari 7800,SNES, Neo Geo AES, N64, Neo Geo pocket color, Atari lynx, Sega Dreamcast, Gamecube, and a 360. My brother also has a PS2,PS3, and PSP. By the way which would recommend improving my collection by getting more games for christmas or getting a few less games and getting a Atari Jaguar I have been looking at getting A jaguar for awhile I am just not sure which way would be better and plus my N64 is begging to have trouble playing some of the games.

  • I would recommend you purchase a collectors system and not play it. If you are interested in collecting old gaming systems, you probably should store them safely or show them off, not play them on a daily basis because like you can see with your N64, its starting to fail.

I would buy more game systems. Look for the original ones first, and then go on from there.

  • i like the virtual fighter 2 vocals in the beat

  • Nintendo dominated 5th gen and then the PS2 slowly dominated the Gamecube a couple of years after during 6th gen.

IMO the N64 was the one and only most influential console because it had it all..... Marketing power, the games, sales, Pokemon phenominon and outstanding 4 player multiplayer.

  • What is the second song?

    "You're good but I'm better"

  • Who wants to know?!

  • XD Me

    It's a nice song :D

  • weeges mansion while talking about the playstation

  • who made that song played at the sega saturn part?

  • Mad Hatter - 8-bit Bullshit - Ganon Slayer

  • N64 legend of zelda (not 1 console put up a fight with those games)

  • i am a proud owner of a ps1 ps2 ps3 n64 gamecube wii xbox and xbox 360

i made the one i own ^^ i work for microsoftt

  • i have a n64, 2 NES', 1 ultra-8-bit, 1 gameboy, 1 gamecube, 1 xbox, 1 xbox 360 and soon to be getting a nintendo ds

  • There were more failure consoles in the fifth generation and in nearly every other generation.

  • You are correct.

However, the systems that were the most influential are the only ones I list.

  • by my tv i've got my 360 sitting right next to my nintendo 64....good times with that nintendo 64, my favorite game 2 this day is still paper mario.

  • i think that Nintendo and Sony are the Legends in the console market.....

look at the SNES N64 and Ps1(best consoles in the 90's)or at the Gamecube and Ps2(2001-???)

and now at Nintendo wii(ne gameplay with "nunchuks" and other specials)or at the ps3(more cpu power than a personal computer) damn the techonoligy in Sony and Nintendo is awesome...

    <--- Nintendo and Ps Fnaboy^^

    down goes MICROSOFT

    RROD xD mwhahaha

  • actually sony wont be making another console XD mwhahaha

  • You have to tell where you got that song that starts around 0:30.

  • n64= your good but im BETTAH!!!!

SEGA SATURN = no way i cant LOOOOOOOOOOOOSE

    ps1 = rofl?

  • at 11:41 the N64 was discounted in 2005 but i think it was one of the greatest systems during the time!

  • I have the 32-bit Playstion upstairs. However finding the right connecters is proving difficult. Originally I think my dad bought it to keep me occupied. If he only knew. Just wish he got the N64 as well.

Well Nascar raceing for the PS was a good game and the graphics are very good even to the point to stand up to the forth next gen.

  • sony pretty much made a legacy look how well ps2 did aswell not good decision intendo i spose it was better for u that u wouldnt of had complete control but sony came back and bit them in the ass

  • My Atari Jaguar stand next to ma ps1 =)

  • Legend Consoles are SNES,PS1/PSX Dreamcast,Ps2,Gamecube and X360 and Ps3

  • @ antondeine u know the actual psx only released in japan was a tv recorder and ps2 in one

  • WARHAWK?!

Guys,The new Warhawk for the PS3 is a REMADE version of the OLD Warhawk released for the PS1!

  • what song was it at 5.16 ?

  • MadHatter - Ganon Slayer

  • Thank you. You rule. I'm going to use this information on a school project. Is that okay to you?

  • Absolutely, just be sure to cite this video.

If you want, as long as you show where you obtained the video and the fact that I, Wesley Orange, made it, you may show the video yourself if you edit some of the sound clips obviously.

  • look sorry for saying this but i gote halo 3

    today!!!!!O_O :D :) :D :) O_O :D :D

    i don't have a xbox 360 yet but i am gone

get it and halo 3 is having a special

offer for a limited time only halo3 is for 39:98

dollars thats the reason i have buy it early:D :)

  • why the hell would you have nintendo music over sega and atari?

  • Hah! First person to notice!

All of my videos are video game themed, but I decided that didnt mean all the music had to be exclusive to the system being shown.

  • me always noticed, just never commented since me loved all the music.

  • Poor Atari. We knew thee well.

  • No offence but you forgot the Casio Loopy

  • good eye for catching that but i think the whole word collectively cared so little it may have been in the video but no one could see it

  • the 5th generation was the best in my opinion, the quality and creativity of the 4th generation met 3d graphics, resulting in many of the best games of all time. no matter which of the 3 main consoles you had, you still got loads of amazing games (Final Fantasy 7/8/9 , Metal Gear, Tomb raider, tekken, Mario 64, Goldeneye, Panzer Dragoon, NIGHTS). even PC games were great games like C&C and War/Starcraft and many others. i had a PS1 but i played other systems too, this gen is lame in comparison

  • Remember Phillips CD-I. Where did that fall in? Although that was a commercial failure!

  • This Was My favourate Era., I Loved the Saturn, and N64, I Really Loved the PS1, and I'm Sure the Jaguar Was Great As Well, I dunno why People don't like the PS1, It was the PS2 that killed Sega, Not The PS1, and the PS1 is a True Gaming System, With Alot Of Great Games! I'm Not a Fanboy, I'm just Saying.

  • fuck atari they made the video game crash and if they made another system they would make another version of E.T to fuck up the market again!

  • Atari didn't make the video game crash... Atari was the only console manufacturer to live THROUGH the video game crash. Haha... Calm down man.

  • nice vids by the way, keep them up! i like this one because my first a favorite console(playstation) was created & nintendo got SCREWED! haha

  • Great Star Fox Remix in the beginning! Where can i get that stuff??

  • I found this one on the internet remixes.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA! The Apple Pippin! I never seen one of them before it looked so funny! HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA! Ok i'm going to stop laughing now, *sniggers* HHAHAHAHAHA! ok, thats it. It looks rediculous.

  • *Take off his hat to Atari*

Thank you. I won't forget you. Rest In Peace.

  • go iron man!!!!!!!!

  • hmmm

didn't the Philips CD I come out in the 5th generation?

  • No. The Phillips CD-i was released in 1991, during the 4th generation of video games.

  • oh,ok,

you realy know your stuff, can't wait for you to talk about the 7th generation :D

  • at 4:40 its like ataris funeral

  • where did you find the zelda theme remix i cant find it

  • It's 8 bit records, I believe,

    Madhatter - Ganon Slayer

  • is the song in the sega saturn part a remix of the legend of zelda theme?

  • love this music

  • zelda pwns

  • Apocalyptica - Castlevania - Requiem Of The Gods

  • what is the song called that starts playing at 8:47

  • Initial D - Speedy Speed Boy

The one in this video is a remix, though.

  • It's from Luigi's Mansion

    right

  • opps nvm dude

    thats the song before

Initial D - Speedy Speed Boy

  • What about the Nintendo Virtual Boy? =3 I myself wouldn't want to acknowledge the failures of Nintendo but then it would be biased...oh and you should have mentioned the concept for the Nintendo 64 Ultra

  • Technically, the Virtual Boy was one of the "portable consoles" of the 5th generation, I didn't do any "handhelds".

    Hmm...

  • lol @ Zelda remix on Saturn segment.

  • its amazing how Atari pretty much lived off of its 2600 sales for about 15 years.

  • i find it ironic that it plays LOZ music as it talks about the Saturn.

  • Hehe, you caught it.

  • are u going to do a console wars 6?

  • Its out!

  • cool. i am sittin rite next to you

  • waz up

  • ... Are U Going to do the 6th?.. we get impattient.. haha ok.. just me XD

  • Its out!

  • HELLZ YEAH!!!!!!!

  • the saturn looks like the xbox control and dreamcast console

  • You can find that Xbox almost entirely ripped off of Dreamcast.

  • yup lol

  • Please Tell me You're gonna make the 6th One!!.. aa another one.. the dreamcast.. was even too bad for not being here?.. 'cause it wasn't on the 6th... or yes?.. hahaah lol By XLuisX

  • Dreamcast is the 6th generation.

  • Right.

  • What's the song at 0:28?

  • It's a custom YTMND mix.

  • What's a YTMND?

  • What's the song at 8:46??

  • Initial D - Speedy Speed Boy Remix.

  • thanks

  • typo in video: Philips the company is spelled with a single L, as opposed to double Ls , as seen in the video. Other than that REALLY GOOD VIDEOS DUDE!

  • I believe there are a few other typos, irritates me, but I didn't have a lot of time to look over this ones spelling.

  • What's the music for the Jaguar part? Before the death of Atari?

  • King DeDeDe's Theme

  • nintendo created sony??......BIG FUCKING MISTAKE ha ha nintenedos fucked now!!! long live SONY!!!

  • Yeah, big mistake.

  • Can you create the next video? I like your Console Wars videos.

  • I asked for it.

  • you did what?

  • I asked for the video

  • Yeah, where did the term "PSX" come from? I liked PS1 because there was a PS2. Digression. Where did the term evilly spawn from? I don't know.

  • PSX came from the original concept for the PlayStation, but they took off the X. Then later, they made the smaller PlayStation and called it PSX.

  • No, that was the PSone. The PSX was a redisigned PS2, which was also a DVD recorder.

  • awesome dude
