  • I like ther first American party quirks. :(

  • They're too insecure to be really funny. Ryan, Colin, etc are already totally familiar about the show, makes all the difference

  • i think this was before ryan and colin even joined the show

  • The first episode of Whose Line Is It Anyway UK aired in 1988. Ryan and Colin didn't appear until a few episodes into Series Two.

  • They've tried. But my 9 year old cousin could do a better werewolf.

  • I'd like to say that this clip is so old that Clive Anderson has hair, but this dates from the early 1990s, not the early 1900s. And BTW, if it wasn't for HIGNFY, the 'comedian' Paul Merton would go hungry; he says about 2 funny things per series, and that's it. His solo comedy show was shit as well. That level of surreality only works if you're Monty Python, and even then it becomes tiresome. His best work by far was the printed NOtW T-Shirt of Angus Deayton's naughtiness...

  • haaaarrrruummptt fluftity fluffity harrrrrummft

  • This taping was from Series One (in the UK, each season is called a series as opposed to a season), which aired in 1988-89.

  • Dude, one quick look at my profile would tell you that I'm FROM the U.K.

O.K., so I was 2 years out. I remember watching this years and years ago, and I had no idea that I was so young when it first aired. I'm normally great with dates, but you can forgive someone for being out a bit when it dates back to when they were 8 years old, can't you?

I've actually watched the first half of this series on 4OD in the last couple of days. They should bring it back - with Frankie Boyle and Lee Hurst

  • It's the first time they did that game. And for the first time it was really funny!

I agree that with Colin and Ryan in EVERY episode they took away the variety. They sure are damn funny, though. But there were so many other talents in the beginnings of Wliia...

  • ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....

  • Archy is so funny! He's great XD

  • "There's somebody at the microwave!"

Wasn't expecting something that awesome at the first PQ ever. xD The host guy was really good.

  • WOW! First one ever!

  • lol think the us one is funnier..

  • It's just not the same without Ryan and Colin.

  • Give 'em a break, it's the first TV episode.

Gotta love Paul's comment when Clive presses the wrong button ;o)

  • what the fuck r u talking about they made the show

  • Dont get me wrong. They are great contestants. among the all time greats. But when they both started appearing in EVERY episode, it took away all variety. If all 4 seats are free each week. There is so much mre room diffrent people two swap about. The uk show. From series 2 to 5 had a large number of contestants including Ryan and Colin. . It was much better. Also they are not the ONLY good contestants. Mike, Paul, Josie, Tony, Steve, Jim, Sandi, Greg. All as good as Ryan and Colin.

  • k gotcha

  • Plus WLiiA started in the UK on the radio.

  • yes i guess that's why it did so well visionary

  • WOW nobody cares

  • so the people in the audience, the stage crew, the people who watched this on tv, and the guy who uploaded this never watched this?
