  • Yeah guys...it's Australia not...Newcastle in UK

  • It's like this in every Australian city, theres too many bogans in this country.

  • as old mate said, "Take away their beer and people will spin around on their front lawns until they fall over"

  • Well the Police State govt got it's way..curfews and pre midnight lockots are now in place..The days of hitting Beaumont or Darby st till 4am..The Ducks Nuts till 6.30am and then the early opener at the Empire for the full 24 session are long gone...You young blokes have gone an ruined it for yourselves...Fuckwits.

  • Ive lived in Newcastle my whole life. Ive been a townie going back to the late 70's Ive seen two people killed within arms reach of me and know or known many more. That was 20>30 years ago. My appraisal of todays shenanigans , a lot of people who cant fight are fighting , they hit someone and are too afraid to let them up.I watched street fights that used to go for 45 mins , really only people who could fight , fought. No honour in fighting someone who cant fight or doesnt want to you maggots.

  • i have seen sooo many people i know in this hahahaha. fuck that makes me feel dero.

  • when i get older and talk about my generation we cant really say we were tough ill have to be like we all bitches who dont fight fair, do cheap shots, and destroy shit for no reason

  • Dayum, by the title I assumed it was Newcastle Upon-Tyne (Great Britain)...then realised it said ABC and the dude was Austrailian about a second into it...although the violence and alcohol abuse fits well the British version

  • oi @mammothsoulja its the generation.. get over to it :D

  • @thebipolarpolarbear

    not really.....

    got it wrong again cunt....

just like u gonna wich u never called me out for a fight

  • fuckin white bogans

  • @tgc1600 fuck me, that is hilarious. But it is true, Fannys is a fucking toilet and the majority of the patrons there are ugly orange sluts or cunts wearing Dickies and Unit.

  • PRICKS LIKE ME

ive knocked out more people in the cbd than i can remember

  • @johnosandra Grow up dickhead.

  • Im 19, Lived in Newcastle(NSW) my Entire Life. I See no Difference Here in Newcastle Compared To Other Major Areas in Australia. If Anything Newcastle Lifestyle Is Pretty Laid back. No Matter Where you go in this Day And Age You Will Always Find A Majority Of People Which Ruin It For Others When Associated With Alcohol. Pretty Simple Solution. ZERO Tolerance With Habitual Offenders. If Found Guilty Of An Offence in this Kind Of Enviroment, Bar Them From Every Establishment In The In The Area.

  • Damn this generation.

  • In my opinion Newcastle Bigg Market is alot worse.

  • It is disgusting. I live in Newcastle and it is so quiet and peaceful like a country town throughout the day, at night, it is just total chaos!

  • There are disturbing parallels between Pomlands Newcastle Upon Tyne (the original) and their Aussie brethren. More likely to get stabbed and or have a fucking glass bottle smashed in your face however, and its all booze to blame. Geordies and Aussies are complete piss-heads and love a good scrap ( I know because I am one).

I've been to Oz and they are actually more fucking civilised (love Aussies in general they are a good laugh).

Blokes will always duke it out, whats the big fucking deal lol

  • I am todays generation but I grew up in the country. When came to Newcastle to study I fell in love with the city and historic look with still a seaside country town feel. But when I went out for the first time I quickly learnt that you dont stay out after mid night! That became my rule that when the clock hit 11pm I wont start looking for the nearest exit back home. The few yobbo's that come to the city from the outer suburbs made the night life to dangerous with their desires to start fights.

  • I used to live in Newcastle, I live in Dunedin NZ now, I visited Newcastle last week, on my first night I got started on twice in town, and randomly some flat brim hat loser kicked me in the nuts as i was heading home with my mate, i couldn't believe it, im not a provocative person, and i wasn't asking for it..In the whole 2 years ive lived in Nz ive never had any such trouble and i go clubbing most weekends, Its pathetic..SO A BIG FUCK YOU TO NEWCASTLE

  • every single person that complained looked about over 50. get life why ruin our fun?

  • you think Newcastle (NSW) is bad come to the uk and you will see that the whole of the uk is like this.

At least in australia you have an outdoors culture.

In the uk people are cooked up inside small council houses and council flats and have no where to going other than the pub.

Ask any english person what there hobby is and most will tell you drinking at the pub.

as they have nothing else to do with there lives.

they are taxed out of life and cannot afford a good house.

  • @bighands69 It's no different here, most Australians are drunks and most Australians favourite thing to do is to drink and get drunk, Australia is also a pretty boring country and theres not much to do here and thats why most people here go out and drink and get drunk.

  • @MrJohnboy1984

I have lived in Australia and the UK and from my experiences and also knowledge from economics and social structures of both countries I can tell you that the UK has become a socialist state were people struggle on a daily basis.

The uk consists of large social housing estates. Australia does have similar estates but there is no were as near as many.

A typical worker in Australia, Canada and New Zealand get reward more than the uk.

  • nice little clip there at the end! Anyone can point a camera at a homeless person wondering the city

  • @mammothsoulja

I assure you, i'm 35 and sure we did party, but no where near to the abusive destructive extent that today's teens and young adults do. We had a little respect for other people and other people's property, for a start.

  • @PigeonPair hahahahahahhahahaha 4-00 look at the bloke going home with that old shiela

    dirty cunt hahahahahhhaha

  • @PigeonPair I agree. People back then at least had some sort of respect for other people (especially to their elders). I'm only 23 years old, but i know people my age are going out of control... what happened to culture and character?

I believe the people around 16 years old and younger though will be a much better generation than mine.... i don't believe it will get worse.

  • @PigeonPair i like 2 party!

  • but probably they didnt break anything

  • 6:45 ......" open til 5 is tha best way yo go... ya know to make money for the clubs and.. to get drunk".............. what to go to make an absolute fuckwit of yourself to the whole country on an anti alcohol story on abc. next time you see a camera crew mate i suggest you abstain from giving your retarded opinion.

  • im from newcastle, im 23 & i see this shit every week!!! I hate cops(atitude) but i hate fuckwits on the street starting shit!!! if you cant handle your piss fuck off!!! theres too many girls to be fighting

  • @HappyBirthdaySANTA sounds like my kind of HOOD!!

  • Tony Brown is a hypocrite, back 30 years ago this upstanding citizen was at the infamous Star Hotel riots for the free grog, not that I'm suggesting Mr Goody Two Shoes Tony Brown got involved in any of the civil disobediance but he was there at the venue.

This event was where police cars were set on fire and police assaulted, don't see young people causing civil disobediance like that today, hey Tony?

  • Pubs closed at midnight!?

    fuck off

  • What in fucks name was the bloke at 7:40 doing to make that faggot cop treat him like that? See, police love to throw their "arm of the law" in all of the time, even when it isn't necessary, there were two police officers and one bloke, why be so rough? Fuck that.

  • FUCK UK LONG LIVE PAKISTAN

  • It's Australia, dipshit.

  • Pffft, I walked home from Kings Street Hotel to Charlestown on Saturday night and didn't see a single fight.

  • at 1:58 did he say "Epic demic"? lol

I really agree with this report, I'm typing this at the 24h university hub in Newcastle on the corner of King and Auckland and its 2:49am Sunday morning. I went outside for a smoke about 40 minutes ago and saw a huge group of 18 - 20 year olds starting on this group of like 5 30 year old guys who didn't do anything.

  • i'm trying to fin those dudes who do those funny coversations on the 7 30

  • thanks for uploading.

  • i am in this video and they asked us a whole bunch of questions like what we thought of the curfew and we had answers, but they didnt show that did they only the bad shit like per usual for the stupid media

  • They are just as bad the Newcastle Herald, its not very often we hear about these gang related assaults caused by gangs below the age of 18,that are allowed to roam around town, cause carnage, get the youth patrol bus home and not get charged.

    Wheres their curfew?

Because it might upset Tony Brown and his crusade to make Newcastle a boring retirement village, that hates tourists, spoils the nightlife for law abiding people, wrecks the incomes of people trying to earn a living and ruins bussinesses.

  • theyr stupid

stopping the service of alcohol at 12 will just make people go to drugs and shit

    idiots!

  • This is a joke, like binge drinking is some new craze!

What bullshit, all these bans do is make young people angry,I know I work with young people 5 nights a week, these bans do stuff all to curb violence.

  • That Tony Brown is a whinging old tosser,if you hate the noise that these pubs and clubs make, maybe its time to move to an area where it is nice and quite.

  • or buy sound proof materials to cover his house in also some huge planks to cover his doors so he cant get out so no cunt can here his fucking wingeing

  • I agree this Ned Flanders wannabe should crawl

back under the rock which he came from.

I've heard the stupid wanker lives in Cooks Hill not in the CBD.

  • Lets fucking get him. Lol.

Ned Flanders is someone Ill never inspire to be.

  • They are up in arms as people are buying all the new apartments in town and then decide they don't like the noise. Why buy there when you know nightclubs are in the vincinity?. Anyway just give guys the curfew as they are the ones causing all the fights. Too much alcohol and testostorone is not a good mix.

  • what a load of shit.a bunch of bureaucratic old fogies up in arms because they can't remember what it was like to be young. It's fucking appalling this bunch fascist, old prudes have done as much damage to the supposed freedoms and liberties we are supposed to be entitled to as Australians. The way I see it; if someone wants to work their arse off through the week mon-fri and then go drinking on the weekend; so what. The violence comes from gangs; not people at the pubs anyway

  • a cerfew sounds deadly but, you have to drink flat out before shutdown, then fight for a cab as everone piles out at once totally shitfaced, most fights i saw were when those "homie" wankers started coming into town hanging out in parks drinking out of bottles, we got attacked by a group in king street maccas carpark, i was in a showcar wich was kicked and punched by "homies" about 30 of them, then i ran other one of there pushies trying to get away, still safer there than parramatta westfeild!

  • when i lived there we all just hung out in our cars at nobbys or along the tugs, occasionaly we would go to some clubs but cruising was better and cheaper, most injuries or vandalisim seemed around king street not around nobby's but we had the cops on our back all the time, i didnt see sitting around in cars as a big crime but they had to stop it, now there are parking restrictions so everyone just gets on the piss instead wich i was saying back then would happen.

  • This weekend there were 3 glassing attacks

in the Newcastle area but guess what? They all occured outside the Newcastle city precinct.

Glassing is the act of a weak low life, just like gang assaults(You do know, that 2 or more against 1 is cowardly?) and can't for the life of me understand what has happened to this great city?

We need a strong police presence here in Newcastle which at the moment we don't have and also we still have a problem with underage

    gangs hanging around the streets!

  • About 2months ago to girls in their 20's on their way to a pub were assualted by 2 other girls aged 14 and 15 who were part of group hanging around in a park.Although the girls were caught, they escaped charges because of their age's.Of course if you believe people like Tony Brown these type of assaults do not occur, they only happen in pubs and clubs.

Newcastles curfews are rubbish and do nothing stop assaults from occuring!

  • They are apparently talking about banning all glass in pubs and clubs etc around the city so that "glassing" doesnt happen anymore.

  • "We need to save our children! Quick, let's give up all our liberties!" wut

  • we all end up on the street at6 once, interesting walks home haha.

  • lol "growing epidemic" of australias binge drinking problem?

haha, its part of our national identity, australia was settled in the era where everyone in the lower classes in london were getting shit faced on gin, it was here in the beginning

its just now in this era of "political correctness" and humanitarians thinking they know best that anyone starts to give a shit.

to solve the problem a better solution would be to remove the drinking age limit and teach responsible drinking from an early age

  • Of course the pub owners will be against early closure = they will loose money if it goes ahaead.

Its ten times worse in Ireland and the UK

  • Adscg1985 & dwhit86 MUSSA BN SME PUSSY ASS NOVOCASTRIANS

  • sorry for all the abreviations i was over the character limit

  • y is it suddenly all the politicians r picking on newie? apparently according to them newie is the worst place to live in NWS Ive lived here all my life & for the past 2 years been going into town on fri & sat nights & ive only eva seen 1 brawl That was a gross misrepresentation of newie Tony Brown is a discrace The new 1am curfew is just making people get drunk quicker then get 2 a club before the curfew its the walking from club 2 club which works the alcohol out of your system & sobers u up

  • loogieinanashtray if u think cessnock is worse then why did at the start of the doco did it get stated that newcastle has she highest assualt rate in nsw then?haha lol

  • Teach respect in youth and get rid of ice off the streets. Then things will change.

  • w00 u can see me in the vid (H) thebike gang that was out that night was not out trying to cause fucking trouble so why fucking bring that shit up the fellas were on a run and ended up in town having a good time i would know coz i was playing pool with a few of them.... the people causing the trouble arnt drunks its the wannabe gangstas hanging round outside trying to rob people....

  • Makes me Proud I'm Canadian.

  • Since this report Newcastle has had a 3am curfew imposed upon it,my weekly earnings are down between 10 and 15%,Thanks Tony!People like Tony Brown have lived in the CBD for 5minutes have started to throw their weight around,Tony Brown could not give a toss about violence, all he is worried about is Tony Brown and being in the media, fact is most of these pubs and clubs for years, alot longer than these blow ins have lived there. Tony Brown is a disgrace.

  • I have been Newcastle Taxi driver for over 2 1/2 years now,I see what happens on the streets of town and I can tell you for a fact patrons of licenced premises are NOT responsible for all the assaults or vandalism that occurs in the CBD,we have a problem with underage kids in groups that hang around the streets at night drinking and causing trouble,I have seen kids as young as 10 wandering the street in these groups. You

have to ask what sort of parent would allow their child out late at night?

  • fuck u tony brown

  • i lived in newcastle all my life and was well indoctrinated into the violence that occured in the cbd. it wasnt just friday/saturday nights either, it was any given night, there is always someone in there ready to fuck you up and steal your shit.

    but there are worse places.

ive lived in cessnock for 2 years now , and let me say newcaslt seems like a fuckin safe haven compared to here. if you walk the main street of a night, you are 90% certain to get bashed. newy has it good compared to here.

  • midnight closing mandetory!! cool, so all the drunk people spill onto the streets at once to hang out outside! thatl stop fights!!!

  • exactly! really stupid idea!

  • As a young(22y.o) Newcastle resident I have seen first hand the violence and destruction that occures in the early morning as a result of binge drinking. The streets are simply not safe when groups of highly intoxicated people are clustered in a single location, and I no longer attend inner-city clubs because of it. Hopefully the reduction in trading hours will limit the consumption of alcohol to a cretain degree and inturn return some sensible judgement to those who are lacking.

  • pfft, softcocks

  • I was amazed that when I went out in other cities other than Newcastle no- one tried to fight me. I left Newcastle six months ago and never plan to go back, simply because of the obnoxious dickheads that you cannot avoid.
