you talked about the chunks of onion or garlic being no good. i just found this out when making lamb koftees. I now shred my onion on a cheese grater. seems to work. try the lamb koftees, it will be a good video for you. cheers.

350 is good, you should turn them once or twice for even browning. Depending on the size they can take 30 - 45 minutes.
