They all use to farm from running across the sky but got reported alot, then they went underground. I use to sit on mine nodes in wg on my rogue then gank them when they try to mine. I would kill several a day for a while. Havn't seen any lately

@RockAfella73 You do not see them because they exploit from the underground usually.Don't kid yourself Sholazar Basin,Wintergrasp,Icecrown are full of 24/7 speedhacking underground bots intercepting mines and herbs.If you ever mined or herbed and had the mine node or herb disappear from in front of you it usually means someone took it from the underground.Ohh and they move fast, faster then the epic flying mounts.

There not cheating because they CAN'T cheat. You want to know why you could cheat in diablo 2? Because all the info is held client side, on your PC. WoW everything is handled on their servers, you cannot acces any information or edit/change anything? You ever hear of those "Private servers"? That goes back to having the info client side, which is the only way to "cheat" with you and all of the 6 others that use private bullshit.

Futhermore, have you never seen dead bodies in a capital city speling out the name of a website? You know how they get there? A fly hack. A cheat. They teleport into the air and drop to their deaths in so precise a manner as to spell out website names. They keylog peoples accounts via website ads and their gold selling websites, steal all of people's gear, and then use their toons to map hack mining and herbalism nodes from UNDER THE GROUND. Cheating happens every day sir, you are a moron.

@soocl0se i spoke with a gm before about underground mining and was told it was to do with the programming and engineering of wow, thats how they're hacking / cheating, ive had my account hacked once before and logged into find myself underground falling to death, it seems unless you have the correct coding / software for this you have no chance of doing it

One time I seen ones name sticking out from under the floor in icecrown, they tried to mine but a mob attacked them, I mined the ore the hacker attacked my and got pwned lol, was a beautiful moment :)

It's great that this is actually quite rare in WoW. I think Blizzard is doing a great job at maintaining the game =) (Infinity Ward could learn a ton from these guys) However nerfs are perhaps not quite accepted by everyone, it's nice that Blizzard is so focussed on balancing the game constantly. It's been there for years and they're still working on the balance! It's one of the main reasons why Im playing WoW ^^

Seeing more of this activity recently, however, they're underground now. If you're mining or herbing in WG, you'll see them appear under a node, loot the node, and speed off to the next.

GM's know about it, but they've yet to do anything about it.

lol this song is perfect for this vid. I've actually never seen that type of hack before, but I've seen hacks where people fly through WG w/o a mount and land right on top of a node and also one where they travel underground. It sucks and makes it almost impossible to mine there at times.

2nd) Cheating in wow is a really strange 'art' so to speak. The most common 'cheats' are Bots for fishing and leveling/grinding, speed hacks, and wall hacks. The less common are the tracking hacks, model edits (editing out walls so they can get places they shouldn't be able to in the first place), and random exploits which bliz patches as fast as possible.

In all honesty hacking and cheating is not a large part of the game.

Anyone who wants to cheat will find a way to cheat. Blizzard is much faster at disabling hacking/cheating abilities than most other games. This speedhack is relatively new and they are working on a fix.

what other kind of cheats are there? I was thinking of playing again but I'm having second guesses if people cheat. It would feel as if I were playing Diablo 2 again. I enjoyed the fact that the game was 'fair'..

To be quite honest, that is the only type of hacking I have seen. WoW is NOWHERE near as proliferous with hackers as D2, the number is miniscule in comparison. The people that are doing these speedhacks are usually gold farmers who are selling gold for RL cash. The problem inherent in this is that if you ban them they will just hack another account. So Blizzard is working on a fix to actually disable this hack, and as soon as they do, there will be a wave of bans.
