BELLAFREIRE, you're correct. It's basically the same in most Latin deritive languages. In Spanish you literally say 'I play the guitar', as 'I touch the guitar;' touching in that wording means to make sound or music. You would also say 'someone is knocking at the door,' as 'someone is touching the door.' Alot of interchanges in language lose meaning and the meaning changes to what the actual intent was.
