  • @thatsmrtoyoubuddy thanks for the modest insight brother, the more I read the Talmud and Rabbi steinsaltzs'

teachings, the less I care about being laughed at or scrutinized by other more observant jews, another really cool

jew is arthur kerzweil,he basically says a jew has to practically fight his way in...he writes about his hasidic

visits...he was an outsider who was invited to dinner...I forget what Mitzvah it was...

I'll continue the story in your inbox...

    :o)

    peace

  • no where in the bible is there a religion called judaism nor christianity. you all are taking a hebrew culture and making a religion out of it.

  • Comment removed

  • first of all you have a very bad understanding of the bible. secondly the people they were teaching were the remnants of the northern kingdom call the house of Israel. they were not teaching the gentile nations they were teaching scattered Israelites who had been scattered from there many captivities. jewish means to convert to judaism you never hear them call themselves Israelites or hebrews that os because they are not descendants of abraham, issach , or jacob.

  • @truehebrew100

The term Jew (Yehudi) comes from the fact that after the kingdom of Israel split the southern kingdom was called Judah (Y'hudah), all citizens of Judah were called Jews. Jewish is just a term as we are call American, or Spanish. Jewish is not used because of religion or a convert.

  • @truehebrew100 Jewish is a term coined to describe the remnants of the tribe of Judah who lived in the Kingdom of Judea (southern kingdom of the Israelites, northern kingdom was Israel). Not all Jews are from the tribe of Judah but the majority are, the name stuck after Rome exiled the remaining Israelites of Judea (renamed Palestine). Anyone who converts becomes a Jew, or an Israelite. A chosen of G-d.

  • @Excpired Convert to what? Judaism is a religion! The Torah and Tenach does not have anything to do with religion. Ashkenazi are from what tribe of Israel? Ashkenaz was a descendant of Noah's son Japeth through Gomer. To be an Israelite or Yahudiy you must come through Noah's son Shem. 95% of all Jewish people in the world today are Ashkenazi Jewish. They are of Khazarian origin. The Khazars converted as an entire kingdom during the eighth century.

  • @truehebrew100 Ashkenazi is not an ethnic group, it is a cultural group. Not 95% of Jews today are Ashkenazi - there are 3 million Sephardi Jews alone living in Israel. To be an Yisraelite you are a descendant of Jacob (renamed Israel, who had 12 children each corresponding to the 12 tribes) - giving you an entire history lesson would take to long. That theory about Khazars has easily been debunked and DNA evidence shows that the majority of jews have ME ancestry.

  • @truehebrew100 On top of the 3 million Sephardi Jews in Israel there are also Mizrahi Jews (middle eastern jews) of which there are approx. 4-5 million living in the world today. So clearly Ashkenazi Jews can not make up much more than 50% of the Jewish population today. Ashkenazi's are German Jews (thats what Ashkenaz means, it means German)- it has come to refer to Western Jews who share a similar cultural background, diet, etc. Sephardi Jews are ones originally exiled to Spain.

  • @truehebrew100 Also Judaism is a religion, but to be a Jew you belong to an ethnic group, a religion, a nation (as an Israelite), a culture - in other words, a people. Some will abandon certain aspects such as the religion, culture or maybe not be ethnically Jewish but by embracing religion you become part of the nation, etc. The Jewish people have always been referred to as a Nation in the bible and have always thought of themselves as such.

  • @truehebrew100 I'm also very confused how the Torah & Tanakh have nothing to do w/ religion when they clearly discuss religious rituals, methods, etc. They talk about the high priest, the laws and so on. They also talk about the Jewish peoples role in the world, their history, their government systems, etc.

  • Read revelation 3:9 and Rev 2:9

  • i have gotten deep into christian theology and i still converted to judaism

  • @suavelyphe watch 3:45 youtube.com/watch?v=b-W5FxjR42g >P im happy cause i found it , remember this is what i told , the name of mohamad its ont he Torah and in the Bible

  • Damn they are so many messianics popping up I cannot stand idolatry it is sick.

but so is arrogance and rejection and when people believe what want to believe and act as if they make up GOD to be what they want him to be.

  • @omedyashar there is a question that cross my mind alots ! why Jews do not seek for converts like Christianity or islam , and even i have not ever saw Debates between Judism and any thing else Such as Christnity , islam , Athiesm do .

why they are not active in this field.

  • @uguly14

I have seen a debate between a Muslim,Jew and Christian.

  • @suavelyphe really u have , for me i have not seen any jews debate with christians or muslims , maybe there are ,i do not know but i am still wondering why jews are not so active or looking for converts, they accept converts i know but why the do not looking for them like Muslims and Christian , they are not active in this felid !

  • @hadimajzoub

    link is not working

  • Right the Mashiach hasn't come the Maschiach's supposed to be beaten and hated and denied by the Jews, and hes not gonna make a new covenant, and spread the G--d of Israels message across the four corners of the earth, and he's definitley not gonna sit at the right hand of G-d. It only says that in The Tanakh.

  • I didn't understand much of it because the sound quality is really poor.

  • Very interesting, can't wait for part two.

  • im glad your happy Omed, but I am happy with my religion which is the religion of Abraham.

  • @volkan63 Abraham didn't have a religion!

  • background noise. think about that for future vids please. i like them but don't have bat ears

  • @straygypsy thanks.. ill go orthodox.. thats what im considering right now. I mean i keep kosher and shabbat law already so i rather go orthodox. Thanks for advice. Shalom Baruch Hashem

  • @dldnjswns99 Oh..BTW..As far as I know, Artscroll is the only Orthodox Jewish endorsed English translation readings (that I know of). All others are jaded.

I got my Tanach from there. Then I compared the Artscroll Tanach to the KJV in major doctrine scriptures.

I about had a coma when I found what christianity altered over the centuries!

  • @dldnjswns99

Orthodox is most widely accepted. It is also the most respectful of the Talmudic texts. G-d commands us to uphold His Torah in accord with the legislation of the High Court that He ordered Moses to establish - the Mosaic Court ("Beit Din ha-Gadol"). The Romans disbanded the Beit Din ha-Gadol. Their rulings, which G-d commands us to heed, are only preserved in the Talmudic texts.... so Orthodox is the way to go :)

Just remember - be adament and stubburn in pursuing conversion.

  • @omedyashar

...and ALWAYS be open to and take into account that your views may change as you learn more and more. If you aim to serve G-d with a sincere heart, it will be the most meaningful and humbling experience in your life :)

  • @omedyashar Thank you .. Amen.. My mind is made up forever:) I am gonna follow 613 mitzvot and Mosaic Court Ha shem provided:)

I was thinking to go conservative but oh well.. your advice helped.. Thank you very much.

  • @omedyashar Can person wear kippah and tallitst before the conversion happens? cause im thinking to get both of them pretty soon... your answer would be great thanks..

  • @dldnjswns99

Technically yes, you can. And you have merit in the world to come if you do so. But one has more merit when keeping commandments he is obligated in than keeping commandments voluntarily (commandments one isn't strictly obligated in the particular commandment). But once you convert and are then fully obligated, you'll have the fullness of the reward in the world to come for doing these things.

    - I'm referring here to reward in the world2come, not whether one goes there.

  • i AM NOT JEW,AND I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU.MAYBE IY IS JUST STUPID,BUT IS TORAH THE SAME AS THE OLD TESTAMENT?

  • @Hans021220 No there a Hebrew Bible. Christian got there new Paulist Testament

  • @Hans021220 No!

If you want to know what the Torah REALLY says, go to Artscroll and get a Tanach. Christianity altered scripture over the centuries to purposely jade it in their direction.

  • @straygypsy Do you have a link to Artscroll?Do you know how much a Torah cost? Can I get it in my native language(Norwegian)?

  • @Hans021220 Just go to Artscroll com.

They don't have any Norweigan translations but your English seems fine.

  • @Hans021220

Hans, sincere questions are not stupid.

The "Torah" refers to the first 5 books of the "Old Testament" in the original Hebrew language.

Jews do not call the "Old Testament" - the "Old Testament."

Jews call the "Old Testament" the Tanakh.

Another name for the "Tanakh" is the Hebrew Bible, or Jewish Bible.

  • I decided to abandon New Testament and decided to convert to Judaism.

I am trying to choose sects between reform, conservative and orthodox.

Can you give me advice on that and I want what is the first step to convert to Judaism. Sadly theres no near synagouge where i live but yea. Your advice will be very helpful:) thankyou shalom.

  • @dldnjswns99 well, from what i have gathered, unless you make an orthodox conversion, your conversion wont really be considered legit in attempting to make aliyah. conservitives if there was one in your area you could drive to, would probably convert you, but it would be anticipated that driving too and from shul is THE ONLY driving you would do. so no quick trips to the quickie mart.. most reform seem open to anything- even clear anti written stuff.. however while there might not be a shul nea

  • @dldnjswns99 cont... while there might not be a shul near, you can still work towards it- for instance, start weeding out your fridge of all non kosher foods... start eating kosher....... start cutting back on activites you do on SHabbat that would likely classify as "Breaking shabbat" ...I assume you try not to lie or covet, i assume you dont murder.. so as far as most of the torah that is applicable to the average "joe" you probably obey most of it, just by normal life!!!

  • @medievalman86 I've been praciting kosher law for a year now. Cause i was Seventh Day Adventist. I know what to do on shabbat not buying or selling not to kinder fire and so on. but Baruch Hashem i love his truth!:)

  • The next time you make a serious video like this you should find a quiet location, the idiot in the background is very annoying.

  • There is a huge difference between Yeshua and Christianity. Most know a lot about Christianity but very little about Yeshua. AENT.org is key but none will look and take my challenge. The rumor was just that a "rumor" not true. The circumcision was taught by Paul in a sense that it had to be done in the proper time, not on the first day.

  • @paulgem123

I've been well aware of that difference for a loong time, but this doesn't make him Moshiahh.

I appreciate your comments, so please don't be offended... but I prefer that people not post links. References to books are fine, but not long quotes and the like either.

  • @omedyashar

    So much for demonization :/

  • @omedyashar :(

  • @tsirahxuan

    Why sad face?

  • @omedyashar I was replying to this -> So much for demonization :/

  • @omedyashar Yosef, You have not ever seen the book I am talking about so you talk blindly on this topic. I am not offended, I just want someone with some credibility to look at the book that I suggest and make your determination from all the facts, that's all. Not ONE SINGLE ORTHODOX JEW has done so. This does offend me because Jews are taught to be objective, or are they?

  • @paulgem123

We are forbidden to consider forbidden things. Perhaps many Jews do not look into such a book because they are so sure of their perspectives and don't feel the necessity to look into such things. I do feel the necessity - if it is "new" information. I'm not intimidated at all, but I'm not gonna spend my money on it. If you want, feel free email me send some examples of unique proofs from the book.

  • @omedyashar

Why are you so certain I've never seen the book? You posted a link to AENT -- if this is the book you're referring to, which is the only thing that makes sense from your comment, then actually - yes, I have seen the book, and I own it. I bought it at the Bible Society's store in Jerusalem. Only difference is that I bought the Aramaic / Hebrew version instead of an Aramaic / English version.

  • @omedyashar

...I was expecting some book with new proofs. If you were just referring to the AENT, then you're gonna have to give a specific reference to what you're talking about.

  • @omedyashar It has over 83 appendixes 300 pages (approx) hundreds of footnotes in addition to the NT and is published by Netzari Press. The one you have is not the one I talk about.

  • @paulgem123

I'm sure these notes can have an impact on understanding the early followers of Jesus.

They will not change my understanding of moshiaH (messiah), because this doesn't depend on the N.T. If you want my opinions of moshiaH to change, you must stick with the Tanakh.

Perhaps the notes can change or fortify my understanding as to the monotheism or faithfulness to Torah of the early Christians -- which is important to me... but it won't impact my understanding of Torah.

  • @omedyashar I understand. Why do you write mosiaH like that? According to Rabbinical understanding isn't he a man and it is a title. Shouldn't you capitalize it? Is Mashiyach a man according to your own understanding?

  • Comment removed

  • @omedyashar If I was a rich man (which I am not) I would gladly send you a copy. I know you would would treat it fairly in your reveiw. unfortunately I do not have the means to do so. I appreciate your willingness to be open to the review. I understand the conflict and hope in the future more will be open like you.

  • @paulgem123 he said that he has the book in an aramaic/hebrew version already. He asked for you to tell him what specific proofs you were talking about

  • @ipwnnewbs50 He does not have the one I am talking about. until he does then Yosef and others should stick to the Tanakh and leave their opinions about Christianity out and not reflect them on Yeshua ha Mashiyach. As they know much about Christianity but nothing about the true Messiah. If they would only believe Moses again because he will be the accuser.

  • @paulgem123

I think I make it clear that I do not think the Jesus of Christianity is the 'Jesus' of history. I'll continue to expose the misconceptions of Christianity. Perhaps the textual notes will make exposure of these misconceptions further convincing to Christians.... but I doubt it. Most Christians (and most people in general) don't care for such scholarly details. They demand more simple explanations.

  • @omedyashar

    exactly.

  • Finally! A video about this

Though there is background noises disrupting (._.')
