Just before the 2011 season, the Panthers were 2-14. I doubt a rookie could completely turn a team around. It's a team sport. Newton and Smith were pretty much the only players that were clicking, and they had a lot of players that were injured, too.
Newton still has room to grow. As his career progresses, so will his skill and mental toughness.

Just before the 2011 season, the Panthers were 2-14. I doubt a rookie could completely turn a team around. It's a team sport. Newton and Smith were pretty much the only players that were clicking, and they had a lot of players that were injured, too.
