Im indonesian i hate ariel ( vocalist ) peterpan bcoz his attitudes for making some porn videos.. Tapi saking banyaknya band2 alay di indo gw dukung ariel kembali ke blantika musik indo.. Those who say this is NOT a copy are simply hypocrites. This guy Pritam is big thief. He simply cannot compose a song on his own (or he never does). Half the songs he made are good but lifted from good songs from other languages. So I believe the other half also would be same.

I heard both version many times. The melodies are CLOSE (notice I didn't say same), completely different Lyrics and emotion. In the Indian version many different Instrument and Vocal has been played.
I see many Indian idiots & Indian enemies (including the guy who posted this video) listened to the songs for 55 seconds, heard the melodies & decided right away - the song is copied. Never even bothered to look at the instruments, emotions, vocals, rhythms, Lyrics… “tak bisakah” means "Can't you wait for me". On the other hand “Kya Mujhe Pyaar Hai” means “Is It Love That's Captured Me”. The lyric of the Indian version is 100 times better than the other version.
Tak Bisakah Made In Bollywood "Kya Mujhe Pyaar Hai" = My Ass. There are billions of songs around the world that follows almost the same melody (Surprisingly even Lyrics); made by people who never heard the other music or even see the other artist in their whole life. As I recall some idiots also blamed Beatle Star George Harrison for plagiarism, when he was not even aware of the existence of the other song.
I am Indian and I think 90% of the popular Indian songs and movies are copies. I stopped watching Indian movies long back haha. Those Indians that don't agree are just being childish and non-objective. So there!

Pritam is a copy cat. He is not even considered a class in India. These specimens come and go out like a fly. But I will still thank him for copying the song - at least a got a chance to hear some good notes.
Keep it up Peterpan - I like translation. You beat Pritam's song in meaning for sure. Melody - umm - it is different mood, both are catchy.

Peterpan termasuk 'spesial' karena ada dua lagunya yg dicontek Pritam en jadi superhit di India. Sekarang banyak lho orang India atau Pakistan yg mulai suka Peterpan.

HELLO. IM MAKING A POINT. if u all have watched Asian Idol, Abhijeet sang Tak Bisakah in Hindi. It's therefore not stealing case. He's allowed to sing this Indonesian song in Hindi. Well, the meaning sounds almost the same, n the meaning of the song doesnt change. Which means, the translater know Bahasa Indonesia & Hindi too. Understood? I like both versions very very much.
I think the song has totally different lyrics. I have seen the translation of the Hindi lyrics. It has totally different meaning with the Indonesian one. Abhijeet act of singing the song in Asian Idol is like embarrasing pritam for his plagiat attitude
Abhijeet didn't sing a song merely translated in hindi. The song he sang is credited to someone else in India and Peterpan is not even mentioned. It's not a case of just translating a song. And also the meaning of the songs are nothing alike.

I'm indonesian, and I'm not in a position to throw insult in here... who knows what really happened out there... maybe peterpan has connection with them or something.. overall, I'm proud that indian people also enjoy peterpan's song as much as i do... rock on...
PS. I thought the song would sound terrible since indian are the singer, but I was wrong... It sounds as good as indonesian song IMO

I see lot of criticism, let me speak from my heart:
Pritam is a copy cat. He is not even considered a class in India. These specimens come and go out like a fly. But I will still thank him for copying the song - at least a got a chance to hear some good notes.
Keep it up Peterpan - I like translation. You beat Pritam's song in meaning for sure. Melody - umm - it is different mood, both are catchy.
Hope I did not hurt anyone's feeling!

sekarang si Pritam lagi dituntut sama penyanyi ganteng Taiwan, Wang Lee Hom karena nyontek abis lagunya Wang Lee Hom.
Kalo ditotal lagu yg dicontek Pritam itu lebih dari 40 lagu, dari artis berbagai negara. Yg paling sering dia contek adalah raja musik Timur Tengah Amr Diab (di Indo lagunya yg top Habibi Ya Nurul Aini, pasti kalian pernah denger) sama superstar ganteng Turki, Tarkan. Lagu Indonesia yg dia contek ada juga lagunya Anggun dan Agnes Monica.

yang gw maksud bukan semua orang India, tapi ada beberapa orang India, Pakistan dan Bangladesh yg pm gw nanya2 lagu Peterpan yg lain gara2 mereka kenal PP lewat kasus contek lagu ini. Beberapa yg gw kenal ini sekarang jadi ngefans sama Peterpan. Bahkan sampe ada yg nulis di blog pribadinya, bilang kualitas musik PP udah setaraf band-band kelas dunia. Ada juga di youtube yg ngucapin terima kasih ke Pritam, karena Pritam nyontek PP jadinya dia tau ada band sekeren PP.

untuk kasus ini India yg ikutan Indo. Tapi si Pritam emang punya reputasi tukang nyontek. Dari lagu Arab, Pakistan, Korea, Turki, China semua dia contek. Orang India aja sampe bikin tiga video berisi daftar lagu2 yg dia contek. Ada yg bikin halaman website khusus berisi sekitar 45 lagu dia yg nyontek dari lagu2 di seluruh dunia. Peterpan termasuk 'spesial' karena ada dua lagunya yg dicontek Pritam en jadi superhit di India. Sekarang banyak lho orang India atau Pakistan yg mulai suka Peterpan.

I am glad that peterpan has got recognition through this ordeal, I actually went and bought one of his albums because of it!

HELLO. IM MAKING A POINT. if u all have watched Asian Idol, Abhijeet sang Tak Bisakah in Hindi. It's therefore not stealing case. He's allowed to sing this Indonesian song in Hindi. Well, the meaning sounds almost the same, n the meaning of the song doesnt change. Which means, the translater know Bahasa Indonesia & Hindi too. Understood? I like both versions very very much.

I think the song has totally different lyrics. I have seen the translation of the Hindi lyrics. It has totally different meaning with the Indonesian one. Abhijeet act of singing the song in Asian Idol is like embarrasing pritam for his plagiat attitude

Abhijeet didn't sing a song merely translated in hindi. The song he sang is credited to someone else in India and Peterpan is not even mentioned. It's not a case of just translating a song. And also the meaning of the songs are nothing alike.

It seems that PeterPan came with the idea but the Bollywood creatively added emotion to the song.
How about using this song again for an Indo-Hindi tragical romantic movie, that is better than Jackie Chan's The Myth?
To me, this song (the original notes and the improvisation) has a unique potential and an international appeal to exceed The Myth soundtrack (forgot the title)
