this was such a sweet wedding, i love how the bride put the flowers at the Virgin Mary's feet and at the end where you said "love never ends" and showed Jesus on the cross. that was so amazing

Can Catholics marry a Jew?

Not in a catholic ceremony, but in general I suppose they can. To be married in a catholic ceremony both parties must be confirmed catholics and practicing members of the church they wish to be married in. There are a lot of meetings with the priest and marriage counselling before they'll even agree to marry you there.

Not so, I am on marriage team in a large Catholic church. You can marry a Protestant, Jew, etc. You do go thru Pre-Cana, Focus, and several meetings w/priest. Church has changed since Vatican 2.

My understanding is that she can as long as the non-Catholic spouse agrees to raise the children Catholic.  Though the Church does not recommend this situation for obvious reasons.

@shellygonebad NO ! You need both catholic couples to marry in a catholic church. The Catholic church is so strict with their screening regarding people who wants to marry in their Church. both couples needs to complete a six months seminar.I've been to many wedding ceremonies withdifferent religion but I must say the weding ceremony at Catholic church is so solemn and sacred.

Congratulations!...In most weddings today, sadly it has become more of a show, than the sacredness that it should be in taking a vow of everlasting life together, and With God First. It is also sad that we see so many women with bare shoulders and necklines in front of Our Lord. And people wearing shorts,etc. God gave us His Mother Mary to learn from and to imitate. It took me a long time to know and understand this. The best to both of you. Till death do you part.

Bacluck, it probably is familiar to you (and others) because you hear it frequently at Christmas time on the radio. That wonderful group, Transiberian Orchestra has sort of created a Christmas song with that music. You'll see it in the show aired annually on pbs at Christmastime and I'm sure they do it on tour every year (wonderful show)

If you get a chance look up the wedding dress of Grace Kelly to Prince Ranier. Of course who could ever afford one like that, but it reveals the modesty and respect for God by covering ourselves. The Church has no fashions; Our Lord is always the same. 1Cor Chapter 11 May you have many years together!
